Hi there - I agree in hindsight that the event described in the article was not a hoax. However, when I came across it the article was worded in a similar way to other hoax/vandalism articles I'd seen, hence the tag. I believe other people have already explained why the page was deleted on your user page, but definitely next time make sure to cite reliable sources in your draft/new articles so it's clear the article's subject is real, and to use more encylopedic wording (ie,neutral point of view, formal tone). :) Apologies for any confusion/frustration! I think that the Emily (cow) Wikipedia article deserves BOTH categories,

• Category:Individual animals in the United States

and

• Category:Individual cattle in the United States
