Hey, Lawrence! I'm afraid I don't log into my zompist account very often... in fact, the last time I tried to, it had been so long that my account was disabled. :)

Anyway, it's good to see that there's still some interest in Atlantean out there! It's looks like you've done an impressive amount of work on the language. I'm starting to look through some of the work you've done, but it's been a long time since I've done anything with the language, and I don't really have access to a lot of what I've written. With regard to the wikipedia article, I'm not really sure where to go. The problem with the policy of no original research is that, unless Marc Okrand publishes something, the work we've done is pretty much all there is on Atlantean (at least as far as its grammar is concerned). Given that, and the fact that Atlantean is a fictional language anyway, I think the best thing is probably to condense the grammar section to just a paragraph or so of the basics, and see how much more we can write about the language's non-fictional context (a la Jeffrey Henning's metahistory on langmaker). So I think we ought to remove a lot of the sections (like "Paul Sherrill's lost tense markers"), and look for another medium to publish a more detailed grammar.

(On a tangent, I've reconsidered my analysis about the tenses. I'm pretty sure there are just three tenses, with what I identified as "present perfect" actually being the past tense. And although I thought that -lim- was the affix for the past tense, now I think that the l is actually part of some roots, and just -im- is the real past tense marker. I still think it was ridiculous of them to speedily delete that article. People are just narrow-minded. That Natalie really is clueless. She goes around life rubbing salt in the wounds that she has to inflict as part of her job and then she does the 'ice princess'/clueless when anybody gets hurt. People like this are the epitome of selfishness and find in their existence a copious punishment for their hard-heartedness.

But I forgive her. Moving on.

And relax. Everyone here is an editor. We all work together to improve pages. Some of us add content, others tag articles to ensure they're properly documented, following standards & guidelines, readable, etc. It takes everyone to make this encyclopedia what it is.
