Spammy?
Why is Frogs Australia Network a "spammy link"? I can't understand how a non-profit website whose aim is to inform people of a declining taxa are considered spammy. It probably costs them money for us to link to them, as they have to pay for bandwidth and get no money from advertising. It is one of the few sites of its type in the world. --liquidGhoul 23:32, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Because it is used on so many different articles with the same identical typographical error in the same identical URL and surrounding text. --darklilac 00:01, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Bot?
I have a strong suspicion that this account is being used for a bot. The edits are all of one nature, occur suspiciously close together for hours on end, and make "corrections" that no human would make, short of acting maliciously. (See [1] "if you want to futher analyse → if you want to further analysis", [2] changes from British to American English, removal of apostrophe in "show's end").
Unauthorized bots are forbidden on Wikipedia - see WP:BOTS for the authorization procedure. Should this all be a misunderstanding and you really do have super-human powers of editing, I urge you to make note of both the different varieties of English and Wikipedia's rules regarding them.
— Wereon 20:48, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
I am NOT a bot
Really. It is a misunderstanding that has led to this unpleasant recrimination. The change from 'futher analyse' to 'further analysis' along with the multiple other spelling corrections to that article were made with my best intentions. This can be confirmed by viewing the word 'analyse' in Firefox 2 which shows it erroneously as a typo by the slightly flawed built in spell checker, which I have been using for the many (over 400 yesterday) unique article edits. As were the changes to the 'Upstairs, Downstairs' article, of which I am a big fan (seen every episode). Firefox 2's spell checker has issues with British spelling and apostrophes that led me to the momentary and human mistake, and very rarely repeated problem. Also, I recommend Merriam-Webster over Dictionary.com, as the latter is fallible on some British words. Truly, you are right IntrigueBlue. --darklilac 21:41, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Okay. My apologies. I didn't know Firefox now had a spell-checker. Incidentally, if you are relying on Merriam-Webster and Dictionary.com, you may find the online OED useful. — Wereon 22:31, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Prank?
Hello Sir, You commented on an article created by myself with the assistance of special agent 231B and you have labelled it as a "Prank". You also labelled our contibutions to the DOD of Australia atricle as a prank. Please explain your comments. Also, please note, the images uploaded onto the website labelled as special agents 978A, 978B, & 438A were only photos taken many years ago for security and privacy reasons.

Hello, you asked for a third opinion at WP:3O. First of all, a better place to ask about personal attacks is at Wikipedia:Personal attack intervention noticeboard. I have warned the user about the personal attack. According to the instructions at Wikipedia:Personal attack intervention noticeboard this must be done and they must attack again before the behavior can be complained about there.
I agree that the message is a little creepy. I'm not sure I'd take it seriously if I were you, but it is definately creepy. Good luck. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 17:27, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Differences between the W.I.T.C.H. comic and animated series, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Differences between the W.I.T.C.H. comic and animated series. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Cover Image
What the hell did you do to my image of "StarGate: Underworld"'s cover in the "Stargate comics" page?!? --Promus Kaa 22:27, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Hell, the answer to that would be, I have done nothing to hell with it. I did not edit that image at all. --darklilac 05:43, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't mean to be accusative, but the edit history of the page said that you had fixed a "typo" in the StarGate Underworld entry, so I figured that you might have had something to do with the missing picture. If you didn't delete it, then I'd like to find out just who did, because there was no reason to delete that picture. I won't be able to upload it again anytime soon, because the image is on my other computer which is presently 600 miles away. I am really pissed at whoever got rid of this image. --Promus Kaa 15:54, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

How are you cleaning so many typos so quickly? Doczilla (talk) 07:03, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, by scanning the rest of your talk page, I see that it has something to do with a spell checker in Firefox 2. I just downloaded that because I'd love to use spellcheck in Wikipedia. I'm blind, though. I don't see what's probably an obvious way to find the spell checker. Any information would be appreciated. Doczilla (talk) 07:23, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Firefox spell checker is pretty much it, plus a few additions to the Firefox dictionary: On WindowsXP edit: C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<randomstring>.default\persdict.dat to include wikipedia specific words and anything else that is correct but not a real word. Such as "accessdate", "wikipedia" and British words like "centre". Be careful not to accidentally add words to persdict.dat too by mis-clicking on the menu in Firefox.

Proposed deletion of Cookie Randolph
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Cookie Randolph, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rtphokie (talk) 12:47, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Help with C# 2.0
Hi there. I ntoiced that you're an expert C# programmer from your userbox and was hoping you could help me out. On this page I have a code I use with WP:AWB. I was wondering if it would be possible for a line such as:
Match s = Regex.Match(ArticleText, @"\|class=start", RegexOptions.IgnoreCase);
To allow for their to be a space. So it will recognize |class=start and |class= start. Thanks for your time and sorry for just asking a question since I don't know you (don't want to seem pushy). §hep • ¡Talk to me! 17:33, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Without testing the code I would hazard a guess it is something like:
Match s = Regex.Match(ArticleText, @"\|class=\s*start", RegexOptions.IgnoreCase);
So that any match is made against zero or more whitespaces before start. darklilac (talk) 05:22, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks you very much. That did it perfectly! §hep • ¡Talk to me! 16:35, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.
For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:29, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
