A tag has been placed on 4687, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

duplicate page of 2007 China Open (tennis) but with much less meaningful title

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

I hope this suggested deletion is something you can agree with -- I'm just tidying. If you disagree, just remove the deletion notice and leave me a note on my talk page; I'll apologize and ensure as best I can that the page stays up. Accounting4Taste 22:17, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ask

[edit]

Hello! I want to ask you. How I can insert fail in Wikipedia(music fail, picture and ...) and use it next time(creat page)? Answer please leave on my talk page User talk:Artur9501. --User:Artur9501 15:36, 2 October (UTC)

Hi there: you left the above message on my talk page. I'm very sorry to say that I don't understand what you're asking -- I don't understand what you mean by the word "fail". If you can explain this a little better, I would be very happy to help you as much as I can. You might try Wikipedia:Help desk because there may be a Chinese-speaking person there that can help you more quickly. Thank you for thinking of me, and if you still need help, let me know and I will organize some help for you -- as soon as I understand what it is that you want. Accounting4Taste 17:22, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He means "file". Artur, use the "Upload file" link you'll find in the toolbox under the "search box" on the left side of your screen. But don't forget to read WP:UPI first. BanRay 15:14, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Devotion (basketball) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 12:46, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

hi, you wrote me in Lithuanian wiki (lt:Naudotojo aptarimas:Dezaz)). Now I am too busy to get involved with wikipedia, I haven't been creating articles for months, but I could help somehow (f.e. updating results). But sorry, I didn't quite understand what you was suggesting. Can you make it more clear for me? Dezaz 12:04, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How come you have changed McCulloch and Robertson by taking away their initials, and you have done it to none of the other players? I don't understand...

Edit summary

[edit]

I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! Russian Premier League calendar

[edit]

I don't think it's officially published already, I just found matches of matchday 1 on a sports news site. The calendar is probably ready, but it is not yet approved. As soon as it's approved it should be published here. Artyom (talk • contribs) 16:51, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good job! Beware, though, that it might not be officially approved yet. Artyom (talk • contribs) 17:15, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Russian Premier League map

[edit]

Maps for 2006 and 2007 seasons were both prepared and uploaded by User:Conscious. He will probably create a map for 2008 season when the time comes. Or you might want to contact him and ask. Artyom (talk • contribs) 18:53, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on 5+659+9, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Peasantwarrior (talk) 11:20, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Macau national ice hockey team, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Macau_national_ice_hockey_team&action=edit. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Grammar

[edit]

Hi Artur, I see you're going round creating a lot of very short articles on national ice hockey teams. Firstly, it would be great if you could include some more information in them, as they say very little at the moment that couldn't be gleaned from a list of members of the IIHF, but also, it would be good if you could tweak the boilerplate sentence you're using, as "[team] is a national ice hockey team and it's the governing body of ice hockey Federation IIHF" doesn't appear to make sense. Thanks and good luck! 10:08, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Arena Kazan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I got them from the singles draw pages. I believe the draws are frozen a couple of weeks in advance - for example, Murray has moved up too late to be the 9th seed.

Withdrawals thus far -

And I think Malisse should be between Kohlschreiber and Stepanek. To tell you the truth, I'm a little confused myself. Yohan euan o4 (talk) 21:26, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Russian Premier League 2008 results, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Russian Premier League 2008 results. There is nothing embarassing about it :-) ! As I mentioned on the articles's deletion entry, there is no need to have match reports of matches in a football league season. Articles of football seasons in England, Italy and Spain, for example, simply list the results on the main page. That's how it was on Russian Premier League 2007 article, and probably we should have the same this season.  ARTYOM  17:44, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on UEFA Euro 2008 warm-up matches, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how UEFA Euro 2008 warm-up matches is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:UEFA Euro 2008 warm-up matches saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. A tag has been placed on South Korea women's national basketball team, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Tennis 2008.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tennis 2008.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:17, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Flagging BC Donetsk for further review

[edit]

Hello, Artur9501 … I recently encountered the article about BC Donetsk and in my opinion, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Organizations and companies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.

I am considering tagging BC Donetsk (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

Be sure to read Ownership of articles, and remember that Some Other Editors (including at least one administrator) may not share your opinion about the notability of the article's subject.

I do not mean to imply that your contribution is unappreciated … perhaps you should read Your first article … and remember, there was a time when I knew less about how Wikipedia works than you know right now, and I am always available to help you become a more proactive contributor.

To better understand why I have used this template, please read Flag templates for deletion warnings ... I realize that some of the expressed possible concerns may not be appropriate in this case. —triwbe (talk) 12:39, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
