Usage
[edit]This template is part of a collection (see "See also") that is used to list players selected in the National Football League draft.
{{NFLDraft-row | |
| draftyear = | the year in which the draft took place (used to link selecting team to the team's season page) [optional] |
| round= | the draft round in which the player was selected |
| picknum= | the overall number of the selection (not the number within the round) |
| team= | the pro team which made the selection (not wikilinked) |
| first= | first name of the player selected |
| last= | last name of the player selected |
| dab= | name of the player article (if not just "First Last") [optional] |
| position= | football position of the player |
| collegeyear= | final year of player's college career (generally one year previous to the year of the draft, e.g. for the 2010 draft, college year should be 2009 in most cases) |
| college= | the college or university last attended by the player – should match the title of the school's WP article (e.g. "Syracuse University" or "Georgia Institute of Technology") |
| collegeteam= | the player's college team name (e.g. "Syracuse Orange" or "Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets") |
| collegelink= | the abbreviated name of the school which will be displayed in the table (e.g. "Syracuse" or "Georgia Tech") |
| note= | space for any additional information about the pick – generally used to identify any trades of the selection [optional] |
Special parameters: | |
| numberofrounds= | controls the color-coding of the first cell in the row; colors transition from red to violet (in ROYGBIV order) for the given number of rounds; if this parameter is not included, the default is 7 (seven) rounds [optional] |
| firstpickinround= | value should be "yes" for the first selection in each round (this parameter creates the anchor for the "Jump to:" functionality and the thick border visually separating the rounds in the table) |
| compensatory= | value of "yes" denotes a compensatory selection |
| supplemental= | value of "yes" denotes a supplemental compensatory selection |
| resolution= | value of "yes" denotes a 2020 Resolution JC-2A selection |
| expansion= | value of "yes" denotes an extra pick in a non-expansion draft granted to an expansion team (as last occurred in 2002 and 2003 for the Houston Texans) |
| lastpick= | value of "yes" denotes the final pick in the draft (not in the round); adds the "Mr. Irrelevant" link to the selection number |
| undrafted= | value of "yes" denotes the player was undrafted. This suppresses the first two columns (Round and Pick #). Should be used only with the similar param in the header template. |
| probowl= | value of "yes" indicates the player has made at least one Pro Bowl |
| hof= | value of "yes" indicates the player is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame |
| playerpageexists= | value of "no" can be used to suppress a red wiki-link for a player for whom no WP article has been written. |
| cfb page exists= | value of "yes" indicates the page named "collegeyear collegeteam football team" exists. This prevents the use of {{cfb link}} which is an processor-intensive template. |
| teamdab= | Used in cases where the NFL team name requires disambiguation. (e.g. 1936 Pittsburgh Pirates (NFL) season. In this case, the "team" parameter should be "Pittsburgh Pirates" and "teamdab" should be "Pittsburgh Pirates (NFL)") |
