Mall Development Opposition
[edit]Moved to talk page from article Meynardtengco 16:07, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Many residents are opposing this plan because such mall kills small stores around and destroys the clean and green environment of Tagaytay, its fresh air and peace and tranquility for which the city is known for. Many people including foreign toursits visit Tagaytay not to shop in malls which they can do elsewhere but to find peace and solitude. I just want to comment regarding the opposition to have a mall here in Tagaytay. This is where the residents are wrong. I believed it will attract more and more foreigners to visit or possibly live here if they have the mall. I too, is a resident here, moved from the U.S., My family loved the place...it's less humid ....it's breezy and cool. The only thing we don't like is the inconvenience of shopping, we have to go to Dasmarinas or Sta Rosa to do our weekly groceries, etc. Most of our foreign friends and visitors agree ( possible residents ). They always wish there is a mall. If the residents are worried about the greeneries... have the mall a little farther from the city proper, say between Silang and Tagaytay. I guarantee we will have more foreigners here, and that's what we're after, isn't it? a tourist place ...and just think of the revenues the city will get. Let's move on you people....live with the luxury of the modern world and the comfort and peace of country living. Make Tagaytay be one....

<Cityname> <City>
[edit]There is a discussion regarding the removal of the word "city" from the article titles of Philippine cities. This may imminently affect the article name for Tagaytay. For city names which are not unique, disambiguation alternatives are also being presented. Formal request for page move may follow after a reasonable time of discussion. If you wish to participate, please post your comments here. --JinJian (talk) 04:37, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Pictures of views around Tagaytay
[edit]What are the main reasons people visit Tagaytay? Isn't it because of the views? So, why should the pictures of views around Tagaytay be removed, even though it is clearly stated that they are not in Tagaytay but 'seen' from Tagaytay? Aren't those the main attractions of Tagaytay? What is Tagaytay without Taal Volcano? without the views? Who goes to the People's Park in the Sky just to see a dilapidated building? Don't we go up there because of the views around the park? Are there too much pictures on the article? So please, why remove them? Briarfallen (talk) 02:49, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
