[edit]
  • Provide wikilinks to all the characters (like Steve Smith (American Dad!) etc) in lead and plot sections.
  • "Snot attains a crush on Hayley" Don't think attain is the right word here; choose another
  • Wikilink Stress ball
  • Ref 1 is not appropriate for citing the production that goes into an episode (you only use an episode for referencing the plot). See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction)#Secondary information. Find another source (i.e. a website) listing who wrote/directed/produced/guest starred in the episode etc). Also, I doubt the episode's credits stated Amanda Bell was "Bell's thirtheenth episode of the season where she served as the production manager". You need to find the appropriate ref that says this.
  • citation for Carl Reiner appearing on show? (You have a ref on Asner, not Reiner)
  • "Asner previous made an appearance on the episode" -> previously
  • "When putting the stress ball in the washer, it is noted that Roger is whistling the theme song. Steve shows in interest in going to Baskin Robbins and trying out all 31 flavors, a reference to the creation of the company in 1945.[7] " You need refs explicitly noting these things (the la times article is not enough).
  • "In a flashback Steve and his friends visit Dennis Quaid and his brother Randy Quaid." Needs ref
  • "Hayley's favorite song is revealed to be "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio. Stan and Francine agree to act out the 1960's television series Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie.[8]" Not in citation given. In fact, all of the cultural references cited by A.V. Club aren't in the citation given.
  • However, "Roger excitedly mentions that he wants a pair of cigarette jeans, a looked first popularized and endorsed by Forever 21." is in the AV Club reference. I think you need to do a better spot check and ensure all the citations are correct
  • All of the other cultural refs are not cited in #9 (Daemon's TV)

Conclusion: While the article is mostly well-written, the citations are a mess. Per the GA criteria, I am going to fail the article until these major issues get worked out. Again, just a reminder that the information in the article have to be properly cited (which means content you add must be taken from the corresponding citation), and the episode is not a suitable citation for the production section. Feel free to relist it for GA once these issues have been addressed. Thanks, Ruby2010 comment! 15:27, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Having to cite references for things that are entirely self-evident (and explicitly shown or mentioned in the episode) is idiotic and likely proof that Wikipedia exists largely to make unimportant people feel important by being able to enforce meaningless rules on other people. Steve and friends are seen to visit Dennis and Randy Quaid, yet a reference is needed to somehow "verify" it?--172.190.132.195 (talk) 19:42, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
