Hi ,
on behalf of Atelier des Dauphins, I give permission to use the contents of our website, including pictures. Please note that there are a few spelling mistakes in the Location paragraph. Below is a corrected version:
Barraux has the village of Chapareillan to the north; La Buissiere, Le Boissieu and La Flachere to the south; Pontcharra to the east and Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, on the Plateau dee Petites Roches to the west. It is situated in the valley of the Gresivaudan through which the Isère river flows.
In the History section, the village existed long before the Fort, so this section is to be revised entirely (but its contents doesn't come from our website).
Thanks
Herve Tardy for Atelier des Dauphins
