  Each few breaths the whole her body would jerk as she tried to right herself, but she was proper rigwelted and she couldn't get up.

  Their very strong beer was called Rigwelter, after a rigwelted sheep, which in Yorkshire is one whose fleece has become too heavy and so he falls over on his back and can't get up on his own!
