Nominator's rationale: Non-defining. Just a collocation within a phrasal template. It's only defining in the realm of Wikipedia:Marketing buzzspeak for marketing purposes but not for the purposes of encyclopedic categorization. Certain business models that contain "as a service" are defined as category:Service-oriented (business computing) in the context of Cloud computing, per that article. These include:
These belong to the Category:Service-oriented (business computing). Maybe, just maybe the following articles, included in the cloud computing navbox also belong to that category:
No article belongs to the "As a service" category (should already be clear from the name of the category that something is wrong with it). For example, Energy storage as a service and Mobility as a service have got nothing to do with the above mentioned topics, and the word "cloud" does not even appear in those articles. Nominator's rationale: As at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2023 October 20#Category:Male radio presenters, this is a WP:CATEGRS violation. As always, all categories for women do not always need to be balanced directly against matching categories for men, and it depends on the relevance of gender to the topic.
Broadcasting, however, was very disproportionately seen as "men's work" for much of history, with women vastly underrepresented until at least the late 1970s and early 1980s -- meaning that this would be an unbrowsably massive megacategory for at least 75 per cent of all the articles we have about television broadcasters. We categorize women here because they're an underrepresented minority in this field, whose participation in broadcasting as a career occasions sociological study -- so the relationship between career and gender is only defining for women in this instance, because it's a field where only women get gender-based analysis of the relationship between their career and their gender.   • What's the plan for the non-drug brands that are currently in those categories? For example, the AstraZeneca cat currently includes three vaccines (vaccines technically aren't "drugs") and Quorn, which is food (and not some type of medical food; it's sold in in the freezer section of regular grocery stores). In particular, I point out that many large pharmaceutical companies also sell nutritional supplements, and I'm not sure that we want the so-called "SCAM" products to be categorized under "drugs".     The parent category is just for drugs. If the scope is changed, it will need to be reparented. I don't think that the manufacturer of a particular supplement is necessarily defining as supplements aren't tested and approved in the same way. So, I would support purging any non drug articles rather than lumping together supplements and drug development. If there is consensus to go with "products", I think "X company products" would be preferable to be consistent with all other "X company products" categories.   • Update: I checked several of the categories and was unable to locate any non-drug items. So, I think it should be considered a non-issue unless anyone can bring specific examples of non-drugs that might be included in these categories. As stated above, vaccines are classified as drugs by the FDA and EMA so it is appropriate to include them in drug categories. AstraZeneca temporarily owned the company that makes Quorn, but its involvement in that product is non-defining so I've removed the category. (t · c) buidhe 02:26, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
