Template Organization
editSimple. Use the templates {{userboxtop}} and {{userboxbottom}} --Death motor 18:59, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, use the templates on the top and bottom parts of the userboxes you want to organize. That should help ^_^--Death motor 19:06, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Fixed your userpage like you requested on my user talk page. If you don't like it, feel free to revert it.--Death motor 20:36, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Stat sig should be helpful
editWhy don't you get a stat sig? It constantly updates every time you log out (I think). I got my sig at [1]. They have many cool styles =D. Now I don't have to worry about taking continous screenshots every time I get a level XD. --Death motor 17:11, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- If you like, I can make one for you, saves you the trouble XD. --Death motor 17:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Add On Friendlist?
editDo you want to be friends on RuneScape? The stat sig on my user page shows my screenname, and from your user page, I know your screenname as well, so there's no need to tell me. Why not - I added you already. =) --Death motor 07:01, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Re:Hooray!
editYes, I thought 2003 Utah snowstorm was worthy of an article...I just wish I could find more info on it...anyway, I'm not really sure if the supercells would be worthy of an article. It's possible, though, since what we got here was so rare. I certainly have enough information to write an article on it...maybe I'll ask over at Wikipedia:WikiProject Meteorology...or who knows? Maybe I'll just write it. What would it be called, though? I can think of a few things and none of them really work...2006 Utah supercells...August 2006 Utah supercells...a few other things. And yes, I do live in one of those areas (Sugar House to be exact), but all I got was power outages. bob rulz 22:43, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've actually done something that I think is even better. I've created a subpage on my user page called User:Bob rulz/Utah weather of 2006 that covers all of the major weather events in the state this year. I use the very helpful monthly weather summaries at the National Weather Service Salt Lake City office, and I'm even surprised at how much I like the article so far. bob rulz 23:12, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- Cool, I'm glad you liked it. I like it a lot, too, and I'm seriously debating turning it into an actual article (despite what it may say on the article). bob rulz 18:14, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, you create a subpage like any other page; just type in, say, User:Bob rulz/Utah weather of 2006 in my case...just like any other article. And the AfD is "articles for deletion." bob rulz 21:42, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Left-to-right
editAs far as I recall, it's one-way on both sides of the Eurotunnel - you can't get on the wrong side of the road on either side because of the way the slip-roads (or on-ramps) are designed. As for driving on the left - I've never driven in Europe myself, but when I have been there it's always seemed much more dangerous on the roads, especially regarding rules on roundabouts. Also, never try to drive in Paris. QmunkE 06:19, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- There are two services which operate through the Channel Tunnel or "Chunnel". One is the passenger service (Eurostar) and one which carries cars/lorries/buses etc. (Eurotunnel Shuttle). And no, we don't see many LHD vehicles in the UK. Hope this clears things up! QmunkE 05:56, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, yes I did think of lorries being BE as I was writing it - see truck. We use the metric system for weight and fluid measures (except for alcoholic drinks - still often measured in pints) - I think this is to comply with European Union regulations, and of course it is the basis of the SI Unit system which is taught in schools from an early age - I'm much more comfortable with metres and kilograms. However, all our road signs and car speedometers are in miles. Glad to see you're so interested in this sort of thing - Wikipedia is the place to find out all sorts of random information that could prove useful (or not!) later in life. Ekavski / Ijekavski
PANONIAN (talk) 00:14, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Question about an image...
editHello, Carnildo. I just wanted to ask what copyright tag I should put on my image (Image:USofRS.JPG). I did put an "Unsure Which Copyright Tag to Choose" one, where it says I'd get help from someone to choose what tag I'd put, but so far, It's been two days, and all the messages I got concerning the image were from OrphanBot, stating that there's a problem with the image, since there's no copyright. Can you help me, if you're not to busy? Cheers! The Runescape Junkie 22:42, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- The "unsure" tag is meant as a placeholder while you ask for help. There are too many images tagged with it for us to go around actively looking for them.
- If the map were made the traditional way, by stitching together hundreds of shots of the minimap, the correct tag would be {{game-screenshot}}. I'm not sure what software Andrew uses for the official maps, but it's probably not the standard client. The best thing to do would be to tag it as {{fair use in|Runescape}}, then add an explanation as to why it meets the requirements at Wikipedia:Fair use criteria.
- Are you sure you've got the boundaries correct, though? When I was making the first map of Falador, Edgeville, the Barbarian Village, and Drayor were considered part of Varrock, and I clearly recall the boundary of the Wilderness running straight east-west. It's been a while since I've played, though. --Carnildo 04:35, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

editIn regard to your questions, yes, my school is that vandalizing (most everybody at school is a jerk), the stat sig I got rid of because random people were messaging me and "plz can i have phree st00f" so to say, so it's not a surprise =P. And I have a subpage already at here. I don't feel like making any more, since my userpage looks cool in my opinion.--Death motor 21:46, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I finally managed to do some maintenance, though I must say I haven't done quite anything productive on WP for a week or so. My WP time gets totally consumed by such trivial matters... :( My automotive interests are quite peculiar, I guess, and certainly different from yours :D I don't care for all those "sports cars" that much, in fact I can barely tell Ferraris from each other (I mean, if you showed me one, I'd know it's a Ferrari and not Lamborghini or DeTomaso, but I'd really have a hard time to give you the model name). As my userpage states, my interests revolve around obscure brands (clarification - obscure, but quite mass market, so kit car makers and such don't qualify) and underdog executives. They do evolve over time, sometime ago I was into American barges, now I am more into 1950s-1980s European cars, though I have to say I am always tempted by the mystique of the Japanese domestic market. I cannot decide on ONE favorite car - there are many historic cars I admire, and quite less present-day ones (mostly because a spanking brand-new car hardly has the mystique and legacy a model from 20 years ago does), but I guess if I were to make a sample list of a few cars I wouldn't mind owning (as opposed to admiring passively :D ), it would include (focus on American cars given your background :D ):
- the LH Chrysler New Yorker, and I guess the second-gen LHS too
- the late 1990s Buick Park Avenue
- the last rendition of the B-bodies
- the original Aurora
- BMW E38
- Mercedes W140
- Renault Safrane Biturbo :D or a post-facelift V6 (or actually any version with the talking computer :D
- Citroën C6
- Lancia Kappa
- Fiat 130
- any Legend bar the first grille-less first generation
- post-R17-facelift Rover 800, with emphasis on Coupé and 827 Vitesse fastback :D
- actually, an Omega "C" or the last Scorpio
- oh, of course a Toyota Century, an early 1990s Crown Majesta, a Nissan President or a Cedric or a Gloria...
- and the list goes on and on and on...
As concerns examples of cars I admire a lot, but wouldn't like to own because they are either to small or the maintenance and everyday use would be far too troublesome, see my contributions list :D If somehow I could get somebody to do the maintenance, I think I'd currently go for a Simca Vedette Présidence - but that's here and now, next week it could be another car... :D
You asked for it, you got it ;) Bravada, talk - 15:41, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Deletion template
editHmm, I can't seem to recall how it all works off the top of my head (since I don't think I've ever nominated one for deletion before, haha). It should have everything you need somewhere around Wikipedia:Deletion though. Sorry if I didn't help you much or if my answer wasn't good enough or whatever, lol. bob rulz 06:33, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hello. I saw the start of this conversation and thought that I would pop in with some help. I hope you both don't mind. The article probably doesn't qualify for speedy deletion or "prod", so I would suggest that you try to follow the process at WP:AFD. In particular, you may want to check out the sections Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#Before nominating an AfD followed by Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion. If you get into it and want some assistance, just let me know. --After Midnight 0001 13:18, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
My Market
editI just made a new marketplace where people can sell and buy goods. This mainly sprouted from my concern that buying and selling items on RuneScape is really a big pain, whether you're retyping the same sentence over and over, or bumping a thread repeatedly. This is where I get an idea: What if we posted it on Wikipedia? Then it would last forever! Go see it and tell me what you think of it. And remember, if you don't like any portion of it, feel free to change it as necessary. Just don't vandalize ;). Oh, and I have a favor to ask... The market isn't... crowded at the moment (you're the only person I've ever told this to), so you can just direct people who need a hand selling something to the market. Thanks in advance,--҈ ɱøťőŕ 02:55, 17 September 2006 (UTC) (hoo boy I'm tired)

Re: 2006 UK terror alert thingy
editHi, sorry I took so long to reply, I got caught up with doing some fairly major cleanup work on some articles and forgot to re-read my Talk page.
As far as how life in England was affected by the restrictions on taking luggage onto planes, it was certainly a major item on the news for several weeks - many of the restrictions are still in place. I think Southampton Airport was probably closed on the day the news broke, but then operated as usual after the initial scare. As far as how it affected life for me, since I haven't travelled by plane since news of the plot broke, it hasn't. Hope that's informative for you! And thanks for the WikiSmile! QmunkE 17:08, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for the msg. Any page can be protected. Normally user pages are not protected. Mine was because as someone who deals with a lot of vandalism my user page has been regularly targeted for attacks by vandals. I was also the subject of a number of wikistalkers who used to target my user and talk pages. The latter has sometimes been protected but the former has been left protected simply because it got tiring having other users constantly having to revert vandalism to my main page.
When vandals target user's own pages
They do it in multiple phases
Because they ransack the text
it often is best
to place protection at certain key places.
The fun of writing limericks! I just got in to it lately. Usually I can do one in two or three minutes. FearÉIREANN \(caint) 22:47, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
