Yes, I did mean an indef full protection until both sides work out their issues. Outside input on the issue is welcome. Move protection reinstated. Mjroots (talk) 05:03, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi. I'm just wondering why "regionally important" counts as WP:Weasel - the city was the most important regional centre in the southeastern Petén during the Terminal Classic. Best regards, Simon Burchell (talk) 22:25, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi, firstly, how does Daydream violate FAIR? Its licensed and has rational. In FA, one editors didn't think it was totally necessary, but its not violating anything. I don't mean this in a rude way, but your being a bit hypocritical, I mean you have the same thing in "Better in Time". Next, I appreciate your care, but its not that in the slightest. It has nothing to do with biased, or group weight in a discussion. Besides the fact that they are not obligated to pass the article if they choose to agree, not at all. I have done it fairly and successfully before.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me04:31, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Well then you read it the wrong way, because did not imply anything unfair, even specified it after. Secondly, I agree about the ABMB photo, but the OSD photo serves as much purpose as the one with Leona, so we would have to remove that one as well. I don't know what you meant at the end of your post BTW. Also I am in no way in 3RR. In order to violate I must revert the same editor 4 times in a 24 hour basis. i reverted you 1 time and Indopug 1 time. Thats far from what you accused me of. Good day.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me04:43, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Primera fila
Hola!
Can u help me and talk some sense into User:Groovemaneuvers? He has been removing content from P-Funk-related articles Go Fer Yer Funk and A Fifth of Funk, because according to him, the edits "were necessary because I generally do not feature album reviews for any P-Funk album article that I create. Since I was the one who created the article, I generally reserve the right to eliminate any additions not made by myself" (my talk page). I've tried to explain things simply to him at his talk page, but he doesnt seem to get it. Dan56 (talk) 21:54, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Third Strike (album)
If you feel that the article is not notable, please list it at WP:AFD so that there can be a deletion discussion so that a WP:CONSENSUS can be reached rather than just redirecting the page yourself. Alternatively, add {{Notability}} to show other users that the notability of the subject is questionable and this requests additional sources. I personally feel that the album is notable per WP:NALBUMS, as there is "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" and "its title, track listing and release date have all been publicly confirmed by the artist or their record label". Thanks. Mhiji (talk) 14:00, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Lists of Pokemon
The lists of Pokemon were assessed as C, start, and stub for a reason. "List-class" is for when they have no chance at being real articles. They are lists of information that don't go into detail with anything. The articles like "List of Pokemon (1-50)" are actual articles with detailed information, or at least they should be. While the "Video Games" or "Anime and Manga" projects assess them as list class, WikiProject Pokemon still assess them as articles. Thanks, Blake(TalkEdits)03:20, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Re: Main page heads-up
Thanks for the note... I've been rather irked every time a page goes up and my only hint is the page being move protected. This one's an older FA I've been meaning to spruce up anyhow, so I needed the extra head-start. :) Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk)06:17, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
I am quite aware. However, the pages I moved to already existed. I moved from Camila (band) to Camila, and Camila to Camila (disambiguation). Then again, I think I should asked first. Magiciandude (talk) 18:18, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you're aware, but your talk page is unreadable in classic skin (It appears as green text on a slightly-lighter green background) Raul654 (talk) 07:48, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
LOL Tbhotch, you pinged me "Hi Legolas, who are you?" I was like WTF is this dude talking about? He he. I will do the necessary changes in "Halo" and update the sheet music. As for the issue regarding the autobots, I have now started making the changes like you showed. Thanks. — Legolas(talk2me)03:51, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
I noticed you listed the above article as needing semi-protection to prevent sock puppetry. There's not been much activity on the article this month, but from the edit summaries it seems those two IPs are linked and this is a long term case of sock puppetry. I just want to confirm that's the situation before protecting as if it is a short period (such as a few days or a week) would be ineffective. Nev1 (talk) 00:57, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
By the way
Just thought I'd let you know I spoke to TeenToday and they said they'll be putting that article back up with The Labyrinth set list (so I hope they do). Umm how come you have a BLP template as your page notice? Weird! AnemoneProjectors02:28, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Re: History merge
Hi Tbhotch, it's probably a caching problem. I've purged the page. I just imported an old edit from the Nostalgia Wikipedia to the Borg page; my process for doing this is described at User:Graham87/Import. I did remember to move the page back, as I usually do; obviously one of the servers couldn't catch up with my page moves. Graham8705:47, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Question.
I have a question concerning an album "release history" section. If an album was released everywhere June 7, 2005, but were released through different labels in different regions, is it still important to have the section and tell what labels the album was released on or is that not necessary??

Jeff Ragsdale
Hi Tbhotch. You worked on Jeff Ragsdale's page at one time. Ragsdale is currently being harassed by IP number 71.190.77.101. This person, whom we have identified through correct legal means, is a fellow actor and he started his attack on Ragsdale by submitting a fake resume regarding Ragsdale on craigslist. Then said person started a commentary regarding Jeff Ragsdale's Wikipedia "notability". This whole issue has now snowballed into a "notability" issue on Wikipedia because of IP number 71.190.77.101's false claims regarding Ragsdale. My question to you is can you leave a message on Theda's page about your sentiments regarding Ragsdale's notability? Theda has since reinserted the notability tag on Ragsdale's Wikipedia page. Ragsdale is clearly a notable person. One would just have to look at the rich sources, and all of his television and film credits, as well as his international activism. Or could you possibly point me in other directions?

Ya, search and search. I don't know whether Cavie78 came up with anything or whether he will be satidfied with the two lines I added. If the film passes, we are ready for the Who's That GirlGood Topic submission. :) — Legolas(talk2me)04:52, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
I know, lol. That's why I won't submit the soundtrack for FA when I know it won't pass. I'm not mad like Petergriffin. As for the GT, ya even the You Can Dance GT can now be submitted, since the songs present on the album are already GAs. You reviewed one of them. :) — Legolas(talk2me)05:12, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Lol. I meant that only, that's a good catch boy. So did you watch the AMA's tonight? I heard it was a horrible awards show where Justin Beiber won everything. He he. — Legolas(talk2me)05:28, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Haha. And people at pulsemusic are saying that the performances are so horrible that they actually have to give Ke$ha as the best performer of the night. That's saying sumthin. Katy Perry can't sing. flat-out. Rihanna's performances are getting a mess day by day, and Screamtina just screamed. That's what they said. Taylor is again..zzzzzzzzzzz. — Legolas(talk2me)05:45, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Ya, and I refuse to see an awards show where Beiber won the Artist of the Year, although I might end up watching it as my wife is adamand to see Kesha's performance. :) — Legolas(talk2me)05:56, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

For an strage reason I am good with them, (lol, more modesty of my part). This list, wow, just need a hand, and why not give it four (or more)? You can count with me :D. Happy Thanksgiving TbhotchTalkC.04:59, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Shade throwing at me for not being good with tables?? Grrr. And yes, we need more than hands, we need all your hands, legs, feet, hair etc. etc to clean this up. Shocking that I have ignored this for so long, but I will get night mares if I ignore it further. Lol — Legolas(talk2me)05:08, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
OH why hating Lovato' single? I really like it, and I like the message "be yourself". And for Halo, I'll wait for other comments at its PR (I don't think it'll have more) and re-take it for another PR, just in case something is missed. If it pass, I'll take "Cool" for the same. At the end, it was a FA and I just cleaned up it. Happy Thanksgiving TbhotchTalkC.05:49, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
What's the point of that cleanup tag? I mean, the album was released LAST WEEK. The article gets updated every single day. I think your cleanup tag is about as useful as the calls to delete the article back in September. Pre-emptive and not very helpful. If I had the authority, I'd remove that useless tag, but I know how extreme editors get so I won't. That article is being rewritten constantly and I don't really think we have enough information for a proper introduction yet anyway. We need more time and sales information, clearly. But do you, dude. In my opinion, that tag is akin to vandalism considering that we really don't know that much about the album's commercial success yet. I'm strongly urging you to reconsider. (mikomango (talk) 16:23, 23 November 2010 (UTC))
PS Congratulations on being a highly decorated Wikipedian. I suppose it's fair to assume that you're now above criticism so I expect nothing to come of my comment. Have a Happy Thanksgiving (mikomango (talk) 16:25, 23 November 2010 (UTC))
Trinidadians don't do Thanksgiving either. Thanks for the clarification!!! But I honestly think it's going to take some time...we still need more info! (mikomango (talk) 22:52, 23 November 2010 (UTC))
Well, it's a good start for it, for now it's OK, more informatioon will arrive and the lead should be expand with them. Happy Thanksgiving TbhotchTalkC.02:18, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

I noticed the message you recently left to a newcomer. Please remember: do not bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. Sometimes, the template says it best. I don't really care if the edit should have been reverted or not, but you should not curse at the newcomers.Courcelles21:24, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
See my comments at AN3 and User talk:Mkativerata#Block of User:Chelo61. Your behavior in this dispute was definitely not appropriate; trying to win a content dispute by playing chicken with the 3RR line and then getting rid of your opponent is not the right way to do things. If you want to contest the wording in the article, you need to start a discussion at the talk page and invite Chelo and other editors to weigh in. rʨanaɢ (talk) 06:37, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
Now you're reverting without discussion again, and across multiple articles: [1][2][3]. Again, don't think that you're above reproach just because your opponent got warned. Do not edit war with this user without discussion again. rʨanaɢ (talk) 04:05, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Disruptive user User:Chelo61 is back and has re-instigated the edit war by editing the album as 'studio' again for the FOURTH time, having been blocked 3 times before. Please do something about it.218.186.8.235 (talk) 05:27, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
I'm not edit warring with you. I mainly figured you were unaware of the convention. I don't plan to change it again, but bear in mind that if you go on to a Featured Article Candidate nomination there will most certainly be calls to change the numbers. Chart placings in prose sections adhere strongly to the "only write out ten and under" guideline in Featured Articles. WesleyDodds (talk) 01:40, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
I see it all the time in song/album articles. Just a heads up in case a consensus builds to change the number formatting in the "Manic Monday" page. WesleyDodds (talk) 01:47, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
It's pretty common to the point if you look at any music-related page, it's almost certain that all numbers over ten are rendered as numerals, with the common exception of spelling out numbers in a sentence for consistency ("one and thirty-four"). Mind you (although this is not directly relevant to Wikipedia biz) that's how many manuals of style dictate how numbers are supposed to be handled (it's the guideline I have to follow as a professional writer). WesleyDodds (talk) 02:02, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Also, you cited WP:NUMBERS in your revert, which has no bearing on the edits, because that page deals with the notability of numbers (mainly in relation to math and science), not how they are formatted in articles, as the Manual of Style page with the ordinal numbers subsection does. But I figure that was an honest mistake, so it's no big concern for me. WesleyDodds (talk) 02:15, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Help
Hello Tbhotch. I need your help on an item. The problem is that there is a dispute between editors about Notable Instruments Section in Talk:Gustavo Cerati#Infobox / Notable Instruments. The article had been a long time this section without any kind of problem, until appeared a anonymous users that deleted this section , with the justification of a rule of the wikipedia. Another user claims that it is wrong to remove this section. In my opinion, anonymous users misinterpreted the rule, because they say that artists have used this section are users: they have made famous the instrument or that people will buy this instrument because the artist uses this instrument.
But the rule does not say that. The rule clearly states that this section is intended to name the characteristic instruments of the musician, has no bearing if he has become famous or not these instruments.
Furthermore, these anonymous users know nothing about the artist. This artist is very important in Latin America. But they have said "he is not important" or "no one has bought these instruments because he used" things that are not true because this artist is important and has even popularized some of these instruments. Clearly they do not know about the topic that are talking about and obviously they has no reliable sources.
I would like you to give your opinion because these are anonymous users to be very authoritarian about this topic. They edit any attempt to include this section in the infobox.
Sorry if I have not written anything good, I do not speak English well. Thanks you.
Thats actually quite a scary thought, as 90% of times, such an overhyped album, fails to meet expectations. Lets hope GodGa saves us all. — Legolas(talk2me)06:34, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Lets hope so. On other notes, I think you misunderstood this edit. The rowspan is done for those songs which charted at the top together. That was allowed during the 80s, when A-side and B-sides could chart together. — Legolas(talk2me)07:32, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Hi, could you be kind and tell me why did you request the deletion of Pedro II's image used in the main page? --Lecen (talk) 02:35, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Although people have quickly come to take it for granted, can I just say that your notifying people when articles are selected as TFA is much appreciated. It's a lot better than the old days, of checking your watchlist and wondering why an article has suddenly degenerated into a pool of grey goo since you last looked; at least this way one can prepare for it. – iridescent15:54, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Celebration
This is such a flawed nomination that I can't believe it. It actually made me remember that discussion about You Can Dance we had, remember? — Legolas(talk2me)05:54, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Thats why the nomination is flawed, since there is an ongoing discussion at a GH nom. If you have time from "Halo", will you review Who's That Girl? These few GTs are lying there. I will comment on "Halo" soon. There are some pesky issues my eyes have caught. Lol. — Legolas(talk2me)06:02, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Anyways, at this point I really dont care if Celebration is delisted. Among the 36 songs, 21 is already GA, rest 15 if I revert back to my old self, will be GA like zat! Lol. And about WTG, lol, you should try some movie review. Be diverse, not that you are not lmao! I will add some more comments for "Halo" and here's hoping Fasach Nua doesnot pull another irritating comment. — Legolas(talk2me)07:49, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Actually they arrive at last, when the FAC goes to the urgent article list. You should be prepared to face any snide remarks, comments, as well as the opposes. I think the best advice that I can give you is to go through the 3 FACs for "4 Minutes" and the Madonna FAC. You have to be extreeeeeemely cool-headed and quick to solve the issues. My heartful best wishes. — Legolas(talk2me)16:52, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Freedom of panorama (FoP) would not be a factor for File:Flickr - gillyberlin - Beyonce I am... Tour 2009 Live in Berlin (14).jpg. FoP applies to permanent installations; in the case of stage sets, they are usually not permanent (the definition of "permanent" would be either that the stage design, including a looping version of the video, remains forever, or it is destroyed once the performance is over and never to be used again).
The concern here should be more on the background, which seems to be a collage of layers of camera shots focused on Beyonce. Does the compilation (a visual work) qualify as a copyrightable work of art? Perhaps. A similar case might be a person in a sports stadium who takes a photograph of the big-screen that is broadcast over TV channels as well. This is where the concept of de minimis comes in. Reference: Commons:Deletion requests/File:SANY0138.jpg.
One might argue that the background is quite large, about 25% of the whole image, and is part of the focus (that would not be de minimis). The opposing opinion would be that there is no way to isolate the possible copyrighted element in this photograph, that the background is a live feed not meant to be a separate work from the performance, and that the focus is on the stage and the performance.
I regret to say that I have no concrete idea on this. This is the sort of work that would be best discussed with several people to arrive at a decision (or a case law might be found to provide a direction). You might want to raise a Deletion Request on Commons for this to seek opinion. Asking Elcobbola and Soundvisions1 to provide further opinions might be another way to move ahead. Hi. Concerning this edit of yours I would like to make 2 small comments: Per documentation if the person is dead you don't have to add |blp=no in WPBS. Moreover, WikiProject Biography doesn't have general priority support anymore. Thus, |priority= is useless. Thanks and happy editing. (No need to reply to my talk page. Just reply here if needed). -- Magioladitis (talk) 09:36, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Tb, one small help, can you check whether I installed Miszabot correctly in my talk page? I'm such a retard with these things, that it won't surprise me if I screwed up something important. — Legolas(talk2me)04:32, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Hey thats fine. The bot started running, guess I will know now whether I installed it correctly. By the way, in light of Fasach nua's opposes in the FAC articles, I have started a discussion at WT:NFCC regarding this. You may wanna comment and give your opinions, as it probably will bring new light on the FAC nfcc checks. — Legolas(talk2me)15:48, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
I see that you have protected a number of pages against page moves indefinitely; see this example. I think that this goes against the the wiki spirit that anyone can edit pages and that would include move pages. The protection does not seem to be subsequent to any page-move vandalism that I am aware of on the ornithology pages, so to me this protection does not seem to be needed and I do not why you protected them. I have started a discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Birds#Pages_protected_from_page_moves_indef, where you can post a reply. Snowman (talk) 10:17, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Hi, my friend. I need your help with "Single Ladies". Do you know where the song was recorded? If yes, please add the information in the article. The peer review says it is important. "Single Ladies" will also be taken to FA very soon. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 18:33, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Hi my friend, i am very sorry for late reply. Thank you a lot. By the way, you told the image could be replaced by a free one. From where will i get it? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:11, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey Tbhotch, i am sincerely sorry for that because i know how much you have worked on that. Can i help you next year? I will be over with "Single Ladies" in a few days and i am also taking it to FA. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 04:56, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

I do not really understand but it does not matter. Actually the photo was important because it is the only public statement of Beyonce marriage to Jay-Z. By, the way, in January, i will start working on "Sweet Dreams". There is lots of information on the net about the song that can be added. And the composition should be a stand-alone section now. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 05:43, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Wow, 4 songs of Beyonce in Top 10. Just amazing. My top 10 consists of at least 7 songs of Beyonce. My favourite song is Sweet Dreams but critically, i would choose "Halo" because its has been produced impeccably. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 08:16, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

I really am. I see you around and know that you are an established editor and although I have blocked you, any administrator can unblock you the moment you confirm you realize the difference between vandalism and disruptive editing. Your breaking of the 3-revert rule at Kandahar (2010 film) was made in response to reverting disruptive editing. However, Disruptive editing is not vandalism and you cannot ignore the 3-revert rule. My apologies for this block. Kind regards and I sincerely hope that you don't consider this block as a reason to consider your experiences at Wikipedia negatively. Wifione ....... You're a productive editor. We all make mistakes and get caught up in the moment. It seems to me that (per your explanation below) that you've identified your mistakes and are prepared to take action to make sure they don't reoccur. Hopefully an admin will unblock you shortly. --nsaum75!Dígame¡19:51, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
First of all, wow at above. That page has really deteriorated because of that idiot Chelo61. Now for the main thing. How involved are you in these swap reviews of the GA music articles? I have seen the recent crop of editors doing these "Do mine, I'll do one yours" kinda reviews for a long time. This is leading to poor reviews, pathetic constructions and absolutely no commentary as to how to better an article. I am actually concerned about most of the articles that have passed. — Legolas(talk2me)06:32, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, when someone makes a request and if you are completely uninvolved, then its fine. Otherwise its complete POV. At present there are so many articles that have passed that I can't in reality keep a tab as to which one was canvassed and not. Was it Nathan who started this? Then it was a poor judgement on his part, leading to his countless FAC failures. I believe we should set up a task force to keep an eye on these canvassed articles. What do you say, as well as Yves? — Legolas(talk2me)07:32, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
I am not sure who exactly is getting benefitted from these reviews. Is it that important to get a GA symbol for an article, rather than having such a thorough review that an article you develop becomes close to FA status? Well, my GA contribution would have exceeded 100 if I had done that. This is seriously sickemning and I kinda blame myself for not noticing this before. Why didn't you tell me anything Ariel? — Legolas(talk2me)07:59, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, sorry, in real life I have a friend called Ariel Axel, must have confused you with him. Well if you would have informed me, I would have taken this issue at WT:GAR/GAR. And comeon, you speak enough English that you can communicate well. Don't feel shy on these terms my friend. — Legolas(talk2me)09:46, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
The most recent review was done by Candy32. I left him a message asking his explanation. I think this discussion is actually doing good, since, you know, how many people watch out pages, hence anybody doing this heinous swap reviews are aware of it, and won't do it further. But still keeping an eye. — Legolas(talk2me)05:44, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay, Legolas; it's been super busy here, but here I am. I completely agree with this statement: "I am not sure who exactly is getting benefitted from these reviews. Is it that important to get a GA symbol for an article, rather than having such a thorough review that an article you develop becomes close to FA status?". You are right that GA swaps don't benefit anyone and recent GAs that I've seen have been comparatively weak, which is pretty disappointing. Yves (talk) 23:05, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
Ányos Jedlik semi-protect
Hey. You've changed template pp-semi-protected to pp-semi on Ányos Jedlik - I don't think there's a difference, but OK. :) However, you've put "Remove template of an unprotected page" as an edit summary. Now, I don't know if I've misinterpreted that sentence, but I don't see how that's correct. You didn't remove a template, you just changed its name (it's still the same template). Also, the page isn't unprotected - it's under 2 weeks of semi-protection. I know it's a trivial matter, but still, you can see why I'm confused right now. :) Peasantwarrior (talk) 10:07, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
This started out really good, I still remember how huge the lead was, (like the Ego?) looking better now. But then, the main review was awful, simply awful. It exemplifies every shining light that I have been trying to shed on the subject. :( — Legolas(talk2me)17:30, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Legolas and Tbhotch, please do not get me involved in all this. I have never swapped my GAs. I do not even have the right to review articles. Ending Start reviewed only "Ego" for me. And if you want to know who has worked how much on "Single Ladies"... Just see this. If you observe well, you will notice that Ending Start practcally never edits "Single Ladies". Anyway, I will be the most happy one if someone i do not know reviews "Single Ladies". By the way, Adabow has not done much on "Single Ladies". He was on holidays while Candy also had to work on his Ciara articles. I was the one who did 95 % of the job. Please believe me, i have never swapped GAs. Jivesh • Talk2Me05:12, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Echo the same sentiments as Tbhotch. And Jivesh, as nominator, you have the right to expect a proper review for your article, including prose, media, mos etc. The purpose of the GA is to make the article as close as possible for a FAC, and a review by someone who is aware of the state of the article will not help. And no one is dragging you into the swap thing. I'm well aware of the editors who have done this thing, and I am keeping an eye on them. — Legolas(talk2me)05:44, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Actually i thought you both had been talking about me. Please believe me, Ending Start has only reviewed one article for me. I totally agree with you. It is better that someone else reviews it. Sorry for misunderstanding both of you. I thought you had a ver bad impression of me. Jivesh • Talk2Me05:47, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

You have to mail me about that. Might be able to give you support, what are friends for? Lol. — Legolas(talk2me)09:04, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
You reverted a number of changes this IP vandal made. Unfortunately, you didn't post any warnings. I noticed the vandalism because of another page I was watching, and I then realized that the IP had vandalized templates as well as articles and image files. I reverted many of the changes, particularly the templates, but because the IP had been so prolific, I was too busy reverting to post warnings. I then tried to get the IP blocked on WP:AIV, and an admin declined because of lack of recent warnings. Sometimes, Wikipedia decisions just boggle my mind. Anyway, I've now posted warnings on the IP's Talk page and I'll watch the IP to see if s/he commits any additional vandalism. I still haven't fixed all the earlier vandalism, and I'm probably not going to get to it today because I've spent a ton of time on this, and I need to eat dinner and go back to my real life. Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks for listening to my rant (I wanted to rant at the admin who declined the block but I restrained myself). :-) --Bbb23 (talk) 02:50, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Re: Proposed deletion of Wang Xiaolong (artist) & December 2010
Thank you Tbh®tch for your comments, much appreciated!
The reason that I removed the initial AfD notices on 29th Dec was that in the notice, it clearly said "Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag" and "please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.". As I have provided sources to the article, it seemed rather logical to me that I could remove the {{prod blp}} tag.
Did I misunderstand something?
Other people's comments such as "citation needed", are being worked on. Is it correct to assume "citation" means "to provide reference"??
You always keep on looking for excuses to block me. That account is not my account which is why removed the slash since the only reason it was there was because people falsely accused that account and my account to be the same. Chelo61 (talk) 06:48, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey Tbhotch, I added a reference to an online Dutch encyclopedia to an article on someone else which mentions in passing that the other person produced an album with our subject--is that enough to remove the BLP prod? Thanks, Drmies (talk) 03:37, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Corvus, the source does mention her--you have to click on "see more" (the Dutch variety thereof). I don't think she would survive AfD, though, but she'll survive as a redirect to Clan of Xymox. Drmies (talk) 04:42, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

I noticed your edit summary regarding WP:NPP requesting users not post to that page using Twinkle. I've seen several new entries on NPP being added above the "instruction" line; did something get re-coded in Twinkle that causes it not to see that any more? Given, I very rarely add anything to NPP, and as I recall the last time I did was using Huggle, but Twinkle's been a reliable workhorse until now. If something's changed in that, it would be good to know so I can at least make sure it does what it's supposed to and can fix things when it doesn't. Thanks for your response, with your thinking on the subject. I'm afraid you have missed the important point, which is that both the trademark symbol and the copyright symbol are legal symbols with specific legal meanings, and as a publication, we should not be using them willy-nilly, even in talk pages. I suggest that it would be best for the project if you were to make the change to your sig permanent, or come up with some other words or letter to lead to your talk page and contributions that don't involve the use of legally meaningful symbology. Best, Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:41, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

WP:TWITTER doesn't outright bar the use of Twitter as a source. In this case, I think it's an acceptable primary source, at least until secondary sources are found to verify that Reba's version will be a single. I was thinking of asking that. An IP and a user (most probably a sock of the IP) keep on altering add unsourced, Badcharts. They also try to mess up the sentences. Novice7 | Talk07:38, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
Article re-assessed. But shouldn't be the IP a sock of the account? Just wondering. Have you tried to resolve it with Drink1 (talk·contribs), beyond a "please do not add them again"? because if this hadn't gone further than that, there's not too much to do. TbhotchTalk and C.07:51, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
I wanted to give him an insight of the WP rules first. If he reverts again, I'll warn him for sure. And, yes, I'm sorry an IP is the sock of user. Check this and this. Hmmm.. I smell a sock (maybe Punkox (talk·contribs)? He was from Peru, right? The IP is also from Peru). Novice7 | Talk07:58, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
This and this are practically the same edit, just a minor change, if the user uses the IP as a sock, it's very probably, and if the IP is similar to Punkox IPs, then Drink1 may be another sock of him. If I were you I would create a strong case if this start to become obnoxious. Time for bed, see you and considerate it. TbhotchTalk and C.08:13, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
Seeing that you are watching me, which is something that also does not bother me, either article is a good article if it pass the basic criteria. If you mean that if the article would be nominated at this moment, I am not seeing the basic of either song, its background. If I were its reviewer I would comment you about that and about the "cover" section, which is too short, and need expansion/merge. TbhotchTalk and C.05:08, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Actually i was not here. I do not really know what Has happen and where i should look. The article i created was better.
The song didn't receive a conventional physical release as a single, but it was given promotion independent of the album, so the statement "[i]t wasn't released as a single" is rather misleading—particularly given that digital downloading is redefining the definition of a "single" (see Billboard). Also, Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Albums and songs states, "A separate [song] article is only appropriate when there is enough verifiable material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; permanent stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album." I'm not sure how "reasonably detailed" is defined, but I'm pretty certain that the article isn't a stub. The B'Day article is already very long, and though at a glance it appears to be in need of a little tightening, I'm not sure it would be appropriate for content containing information specific to the song to be included in the album article. Notability is rather the issue here. But notability does not mean a song should be released as a single. Also, maybe in other place the song is not notable enough but in Europe, it is. I was thinking also of merging; B'Day was just revamped by me and I personally assert that its long and need professional copy-editing. Everything important in the article is already mentioned in the mother article. Jivesh • Talk2Me12:14, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
Theuhohreo contacted a group of people that he believed would be likely to support keeping an article and invited them to the AFD. That's about as clear-cut of a violation of WP:CANVASS as you can get. Candy032 has both been canvassed and participated. "fighting for the article" is clearly encouraging them to take a particular side in the discussion.—Kww(talk) 23:07, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
That message clearly doesn't encourage people to delete the article, or to consider whether it should be deleted, making it biased. There's no requirement to notify authors or wikiprojects of AFDs. I never do.—Kww(talk) 23:17, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
I want people to evaluate articles that have no opinion on the topic. I wouldn't want to invite the author or a Beyonce fan club. I also wouldn't want to invite anyone that has said that they don't like Beyonce. It's best not to have people that have a strong feeling for or against the topic. The important thing is to get a random group of people to look at the article and compare it to guidelines and policies. The best way to do that is to not invite anybody, and let the AFD process do its work. I try to get the same rules applied to every song, no matter who does it.—Kww(talk) 23:35, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
I edit in multiple topic spaces and I've been noticing what appears to be a repeated trend of misconduct such as canvassing in the music topic space that I don't see in other topic spaces. I'm not sure if it's the same editors but there's something weird going on in the music topic space. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 00:14, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Just a heads-up: You recently restored an AfD tag the page Gosling (band) after it was removed twice, first by an anon user and then by User:Findingdreams. However that tag was put on the article by the same user, apparently out of frustration that an article he created (Robin Kirby Music) is itself being AfDed. The tag on the Gosling page links to the Robin Kirby Music AfD discussion - there is no ongoing AfD debate for Gosling (band). I'll therefore remove the AfD tag on the page again. Travelbird (talk) 05:17, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
As brought up in the discussions on the referenced pages, In the United States, CD singles are basically extinct. And you cannot re-release a song for digital download. Thus, a radio add date is the only way to indicate official singles in the US. Same thing happened with Bieber's "U Smile" which was originally released as on iTunes soley as a promo single before going for adds on rhythmic and mainstream radio, and re-enterting the charts as a single. Another more recent example is Back to December. Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 00:14, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh sure, I'm aware of that. Of course it would be indicative that it is just a single in the US. Similar to how "Pray (Justin Bieber song)" states that it was a single in "several European countries", being that it was not released here. Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 00:22, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

The edit filter? I exactly don't know how a proxy is a proxy unless the filter log confirm it or the IPs have identical edits. Tbhotch* ۩۞02:09, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Hm.. I don't know how much you know about open proxies. Anyway, filters don't confirm them, editors do. Googling "proxy suspected.ip.address" gives a hint on whether this is a proxy, and if yes then what is its port. Then a tool like this (don't take this as an official advice - I use it at my own risk, WP has more "official" ways) can quick-check the port. Off course, with that recent individual, edits/summaries add extra evidence. Materialscientist (talk) 03:14, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
These guys are solely using open proxies. The false positives from earlier probably weren't proxies and have been unblocked, but anything that trips 383 (assuming the edit that tripped it is what 383 is targeted at) is a proxy. That's how they're managing to evade all the blocks. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 03:49, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Wikipedia Ambassador Program is looking for new Online Ambassadors
Hi! I noticed your activity as a Good Article reviewer, and wanted to let you know about the Wikipedia Ambassador Program, and specifically the role of Online Ambassador. We're looking for friendly Wikipedians who are good at reviewing articles and giving feedback to serve as mentors for students who are assigned to write for Wikipedia in their classes.
If you're interested, I encourage you to take a look at the Online Ambassador guidelines; the "mentorship process" describes roughly what will be expected of mentors in the coming term. If that's something you want to do, please apply!
You can find instructions for applying at WP:ONLINE. The main things we're looking for in Online Ambassadors are friendliness, regular activity (since mentorship is a commitment that spans several months), and the ability to give detailed, substantive feedback on articles (both short new articles, and longer, more mature ones).
I wanted to rub it in his face when I found out that DVD existed because that's what defeated the argument. And all it took was a google search to prove him wrong. I was thrilled when I found it though! --ĈÞЯİŒ1ооо04:31, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
For personal reasons I do not want to mention his name but I have decided to write a professional letter to the user who blanked my page so I can see what was the reasoning for his vandalisim and see if he can edit constructively in the future if he is unblocked.
Thanks for restoring my user page from the blanking edit that the user did.
Hi... As you know questions were raised at the wiki-project about Knowles FA singles. I just finished fixing "Deja Vu", "Ring The Alarm" and "Irreplaceable" and i would be very happy to have your views as always. Please. Jivesh • Talk2Me13:22, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Request for a lock
Just thought i would ask you instead of going through the process. Could we Semi-protect Canadians..Its a new high profile article that is getting vandalized a few times a day now (i can only expect it will get worst). hard to see the vandals as i have been working on it alot. :) .Moxy (talk) 20:21, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi Tb, I was about to accept that content and I always find that worthy of checking with other editors where the difference would have been caused by in our opinions, why did you reject it? I saw a source and it covered the story, I was going to accept it and then tweak the content a little bit more npov but not much, thoughts? Off2riorob (talk) 18:04, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
No I checked it for copy vio and got no results, did you see the citation? http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-542654 - I checked the ip also - from the area, likely someone with either local knowledge or a small coi in the uprising. I am not going to insert it and don't want you to either, but as a reviewer I don't think it required rejecting, if the user comes back and replaces it we can have another look at it, no worries, regards. Hello! So me and User:Jivesh boodhun have been working on a "Flaws and All" article, which is sandboxed here. I was wondering if I could get your opinion on the article itself and if you could, in some way, help with the article. I found as much information as I could, but perhaps other people have different sources to add?
Hi Tbhotch, i hope you are in good health. Do you have the B'Day Album CD? If yes, could you put the credits and personnel for "Beautiful Liar"? Jivesh • Talk2Me17:08, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
I tried to replace the "Imageboard" article with a sensible version, but it looks like you succeeded. Sorry for any trouble! cojoco (talk) 05:27, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Butterfly FAC
Hey Ax, I just found out about this issue with Petergriffin. I left a message on his talk page regarding the personal attacks and the other comments including the 1-on-1 review request. I just have one qualm with you friend, was it necessary to put that heinous quote of Nathan from my talk page on the FAC page? It just instigated and fumigated everything, don't you think so? I'm sure Nathan wouldn't have half meant that comment and that was purely in the heat of the moment, of seeing his N number of FACs being failed. Why he goes on nominating underprepated articles, God knows, but lets all forget that and remember comment on the content, not contributer. My intention is not to come and reprimand you, I won't do that. I'm just trying to understand why you were fumigated? — Legolas(talk2me)18:31, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Friend? You are a friend, Jivesh is a friend, Nathan is irrelevant in my life, and you have to use your brain for make thiscomments, and believe it, he used it. If he would be upset everytime someone oppose his FACs he must stop going to FAC until his attitude get better. Could please left this over?
I'm tired of this topic and if he won't talk to me, why I have to talk to him? I have nothing to do with him and if all of you don't like it, get over it, because this is not your problem. Tbhotch* ۩۞19:06, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Tbhotch! I hope you're doing better. I got your message regarding the 83rd Academy Awards article. Now, I'm trying to clean up the 81st Academy Awards article so I could hopefully retool the article for a possible Featured Article status like the 82nd Academy Awards (which, BTW, I've been guarding it from vandalism). Unfortunately, people think that the useless trivia lists belong in the article. This to me is frustrating. Any good ideas?Birdienest81 (talk) 01:31, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
In the 81st Oscars article should the following statement be kept in the article or removed.
"For the first time since 2004, two films received more than eight nominations: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button received thirteen and Slumdog Millionaire received ten."
Based on the facts (sans citation) the fact that 'Benjamin Button' did earn 13 nods and ditto with 'Slumdog's 10 nods. But I have trouble verifying this fact over the web. What should I do?Birdienest81 (talk) 03:49, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
I couldn't stop laughing seeing your comments against that 56**** user at FAC. I know he is being a real douchebag. He did the same thing at Lil-unique1's WLTO nomination. — Legolas(talk2me)19:07, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
He deserves that and more, who the hell he thinks he is for say 'Looking at that mess makes me want to vomit'? If he does not wants to vomit he must stop looking at FAC. Tbhotch* ۩۞19:13, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
I saw Andy's message to you, before you removed it, Lol. I kinda think he is right. Axel you are really much much above all these user's who make these kinda comments. As a senior editor there are very few people I look upto in WP, one them is you. That's why I'm more adamant to make you understand that there's just no point in stooping to his level. Good news is that he is really moving towards a community ban, or indefinitely blocked. He he, things somehow always work out in the better direction don't you think so? — Legolas(talk2me)20:05, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Something happened when I uploaded a new pic of Mario Domm. It shows the picture of the old file even though I uploaded a new version. Is it an error on my part or Commons? EDIT: Disregard that, it's working now. Magiciandude (talk) 05:27, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Haha, yeah well, didn't want cause too much commotion. Just another question, it says here "If it says "Some rights reserved", click on that text (it's a hyperlink). This takes you to a license page explaining the licensing conditions for that image. If that license says anything about "non-commercial" or "no derivative", it's not a free license, and the image must not be moved to the Commons. If it only mentions "attribution" or "share-alike", then it's basically ok." What if it mentions both "attributions" and "share-alike" but neither "non-commerical" or "no derivative"? I saw it in this picture of Ricardo Montaner. Magiciandude (talk) 05:40, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
The most common page is her accolades page, but frequently s/he edits her discography, her albums: The Time of Our Lives (EP), Breakout (album) and Can't Be Tamed, and less frequently Hanna Montanna stuff, her singles, Nickelodeon Kids' Awards, Selena Gomez & the Scene and Justin Bieber.
