Deletion of Iran Tribunal

edit

Hi user Kurepalaku!

The Iran Tribunal is not a "dubious" project. The second phase of this project has been accomplished just yesterday in an international court in the Hague with eminent judges from all around the world and was broadcasted in BBC, Aljazeera, Voice of America, SVT (Swedish Television), The Economist, and local news in the Netherlands. I know because I'm not only a journalist but I was present during the 2 phases of this project and wrote several articles about it. I will provide you all the links you need. I'm not very good with htlms and therefore I think I just started the article that I will let others finish and complete. So the page is under construction. Secondly, there were around 100 witnesses who left their testimonies and they come from all around the world and speak different languages, which is why I had a list of languages. The Farsi/Persian article will be available to you soon.

So please, I ask you to remove your deletion proposal.

Hi,
You don't have to be good with HTML to write in Wikipedia. But you should provide convincing reliable sources and put them in the article rather that on my talk page. The most relevant policy I could find for proving notability of this project is Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies).
See also the policy about proposed deletion and how to contest it: Wikipedia:Proposed deletion. --Kurepalaku (talk) 06:53, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Kurepalaku. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Mediran talk|contribs 09:35, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! :)
Since you are offering help, there's something that I'd like to get some feedback about. I recently discovered Twinkle and the Page Curation toolbar and the backlog categories like Category:Unreferenced BLPs and used them to send some pages to deletion or to "refimprove". I see that some of them were deleted already, but I'd love to know whether what I'm doing is... um... helpful in general. Because it feels like fun, and I have this feeling that I'm kinda doing the right thing, but I'd love to be sure. Thanks in advance! --Kurepalaku (talk) 09:40, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hello and welcome again! Of course, what you are doing is helpful. Please keep it up! Mediran talk|contribs 09:46, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

A10

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, they are surely appreciated. I recently noticed that you have tagged an article which I use for as a redirect for deletion. You tagged it with A10. A10 applies if the (1) article have no relevant page history that duplicates an existing English Wikipedia topic, and that does not expand upon, (2) detail or improve information within any existing article(s) on the subject, (3) and where the title is not a plausible redirect. Since the article could be used as a redirect, I redirected it to Iodine. Please visit or see WP:CSD for more details. Thank you and happy editing! Mediran talk|contribs 09:41, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

When I tagged it for deletion, it only had one sentence and it didn't look like a useful redirect. If you think that it is a useful redirect, I'm fine with it. --Kurepalaku (talk) 09:56, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Priscilla Herdman

edit

Hello Kurepalaku. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Priscilla Herdman, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The number of albums and the collaboration indicate sufficient importance to pass A7. Thank you. Tikiwont (talk) 17:59, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

My bad! I should have looked for her at Allmusic. Thank you! --Kurepalaku (talk) 18:23, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Gilad Segev. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. quick question/Jon Cohen (entrepreneur)

edit

Hi Kurepalaku, Not sure if you were the editing user on one of the tags on the page, but I'm trying to track down why the tag says: "The specific problem is: Copy and paste erros. (October 2012)" I can't find those errors -- and I've looked through it again and again. Any help/suggestions to remove that tag would be much appreciated. And if it wasn't you and I'm in the wrong place, then I apologize. Thank you for any help you can offer! Cklenfner (talk) 21:41, 8 November 2012 (UTC)CklenfnerReply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
