Unnamed 'A' character

edit

You sure that Dilip's character is unnamed in Varumayin Niram Sivappu? Because he is named Appu in the Telugu version per the Zamin Ryot review [page 9 left side, 3rd paragraph]: రంగ, అప్పు, తంబు (transl. Ranga, Appu, Thambu). DareshMohan (talk) 03:19, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

In Tamil, I'm certain he's unnamed, having seen the film on Prime. But the three friends' first names form the initials RAT (Rangan, this guy and Thambu), written outside their house. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:25, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Isn't that original research? Part of me thought that it was cited from a book. In Maanagaram, Regina Cassandra's name is listed amongst other names in the film, but since the list is 10 names long, there is no note as such. DareshMohan (talk) 17:42, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Just found this. Maybe you could put "Dilip" in quotes since the character says he made up that identity? Kailash29792 (talk) 15:13, 30 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sabari (2007 film)

edit

Is that why you did an RM for Parasakthi (1952) (to move all page links to new page?). Can you make Sabari a disambiguation page with the 2007 film hatnotes? DareshMohan (talk) 05:32, 6 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Revert to old version

edit

When I check for difference of edits many times it doesn't show the actual difference in large articles (shows different colors), how do I revert to the old version of Wikipedia? DareshMohan (talk) 08:44, 7 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Have you enabled Twinkle? Or at least installed this script? Kailash29792 (talk) 08:47, 7 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ok I did both, but I don't see any differences. I am not used to javascript. DareshMohan (talk) 19:58, 7 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
I'm so dumb, when I change from Visual to Wikitext option in the upper right I can see the changes now. DareshMohan (talk) 01:55, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Infobox

edit

Can I add Azerbaijani to the infobox of Vidaamuyarchi, Ajith, Arjun, Arav and the Azerbaijani actors use it in like 20% of the film so I’m inclined. DareshMohan (talk) 18:26, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

This requires consensus at the talk page. Personally, if the Azerbaijani dialogues are subtitled/translated for Tamil viewers, I wouldn't add it to the infobox. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:01, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Surprised by your lack of comment at my ANI request

edit

I understand you are not an admin (maybe that's why). See [1]. This user has the audacity to remove Manivannan [2] from Sadhu Miranda although he is in the film! [3] DareshMohan (talk) 03:11, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I had no idea such a request was made. But that is definitely actionable. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:26, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Keeravani

edit

Kondattam and Chandramukhi 2 are the only Tamil films where Keeravani was credited as Keeravani. You can check the title credits of Kondattam, he was credited in it as MM Keeravani. He used the name Maragatha mani for other tamil films. How to frame these as sentences for these articles ? Srivin (talk) 13:30, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Source or no source, I guess just let it be. Or you could add hidden note (<!-- type within this -->) saying "Don't change to Maragathamani, this is how he is credited". --Kailash29792 (talk) 13:33, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/telugu/movies/news/oscar-winner-mm-keeravani-to-reserve-his-name-for-chandramukhi-2/articleshow/103379589.cms this source says he used it for chandramukhi 2. For kondattam, can i use the runtime of the film as reference ? even though this article did not mention about kondattam i thought of using it in notes section. Srivin (talk) 13:36, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sure. Use the film itself as reference. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:49, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Good Bad Ugly

edit

Despite saying they might shoot in Telugu they probably never did can you give and update on the article per another source? Personally I feel that such claims should be omitted till release proves otherwise. We all know about Ajith ‘s lack of Telugu market. All of this despite Mythri being a Telugu production house since other than Sunil nobody knows Telugu. DareshMohan (talk) 11:04, 16 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Best to hide it until the Telugu version releases, if ever there is such a version, be it dubbed or reshot. But due to this "pan India" craze, a Telugu version seems guaranteed. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:53, 16 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Plans for Indian 3 article

edit

Say June comes around and this film is not yet released, is this a notable unreleased film? If not June, at least by December 2025 this article should be merged with Production of Indian 2 and Indian 3 since that article is well written. Maybe that article should be renamed to something instead of including Indian 3. I'm unsure which theatrical distributor will release the film given the failure of Indian 2 and Shankar's lack of willingness to release directly on OTT. DareshMohan (talk) 04:24, 17 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

This requires consensus. If Indian 3 is altogether dropped, we might have to merge that and the production article with Indian 2, and make Indian 3 a section redirect to the section "Dropped sequel". Kailash29792 (talk) 04:32, 17 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
