Hi! I'm the Scholars & Scientists Program Manager for the Wiki Education Foundation. Through that program, I design and lead online synchronous Wikipedia training courses for academics, professionals, and other subject-matter experts to learn to contribute to the world's most popular reference work. Some courses are open to anyone while others are sponsored by organizations and institutions. For more information about the program, see this page on our website.
The Scholars & Scientists Program has been my focus since piloting it in January 2018. Before that, I was Community Engagement Manager (June 2015 - December 2017), helping with projects like Wikipedia Visiting Scholars, the Year of Science, and the Wiki Education blog. I joined Wiki Education in January 2015 as Interim Classroom Program Manager (January 2015 - May 2015). I was using Wikipedia in classes I taught at North Carolina State University from 2011-2014, met the fine Wiki Ed folks at WikiCon 2014, and was hired to manage the Classroom Program while its primary manager was on leave.
Leave me a message if you have questions or want to talk about Wikipedia and education!
I also edit in a volunteer capacity as User:Rhododendrites.
