I have started writing a script that compares the BBC Desert Island Discs website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006qnmr) with the Wikipedia List of Desert Island Discs episodes pages. And found some anomalies. Quite a lot of effort was gone in researching old DID episodes to when the BBC launched the DID archive: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/radio4/posts/revealed_the_desert_island_discs_archive

But it is possible that mistakes were made, so need to perform some checks, ideally using original sources, if it isn't clear which is incorrect.

Episodes where the date doesn't match the broadcast date on the BBC website

First check I did was to make sure that the dates match up and found a number of episodes on the BBC website, that don't match the date in Wikipedia:
