Hey! My name is Scott. You'll mainly find me doing copyedits and housekeeping here and there.
Computery topics pique my interest the most like programming languages and embedded/system programming. I can write C and C++, and I'm learning Rust. I also dabble in web development (using JavaScript and React/Svelte). Outside of Wikipedia, I enjoy contributing to OpenStreetMap, and I volunteer IRL at a local animal shelter as a dog walker.
I hold no reservations about editing any article if it means bringing more consistency to the encyclopedia as a whole, so my contribution history might be a bit of a mixed bag, and it probably doesn't reflect my topics of interest too well.
Preferring American English, I like to use one L in "canceled", zero Us in "color", "-ize" over "-ise", and I appreciate the serial comma. However, I do not like the American style of putting terminal punctuation marks inside quotes. When editing articles, though, I continue the existing style of the article even if it means cancelling or colourising my learned habits.
If you disagree with an edit I made, feel free to start up a discussion on a talk page somewhere. If I just plain got something wrong, please revert me. I value self-improvement, so a quick explanation would be appreciated so I can learn from my mistakes. Thanks!
