Cleaning up of Education in Sangrur needed very much
editI am going to clear the list of so many educational institutes in this article. This is a page about the city, not an advertising list for all schools in the district. Only very few reputed institutes will be left untouched.
Please help me by selecting the reputed institutes. As of SLIET, I know it is quite reputed in Punjab. We should add a maximum of only 5 institutes. Lets discuss this.
Did some cleaning up
editI did a fair amount of cleaning up. It read like a tourist guide or informal essay. However more improvement is needed. Some of the info nees to be moved to the Sangrur district article. Also added fact tags. -- Amit 09:06, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
False figures
editThere have been several repeated additions of invented population and area figures to this article
Please note this article is only about the Town of Sangrur, not Sangrur district, which has its own separate article.
Please also note we only use the official 2011 census figures, and will do so until the 2021 census figures are officially issued.
Sangrur M Cl has a population of 88,043, as stated on page 24 of the official Sangrur District census document - here and which also appears in a Google search for Sangrur population
here
With a population under 1 lakh it does not appear in either of the 2011 census city tables, neither Table 2 (Cities having population 1 lakh and above) here, nor Table 3 (Urban Agglomerations/Cities having population 1 lakh and above) here
Please stop wasting everyone's time by adding false figures - Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 15:36, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
