Some variant section
editI think we should use the base 1999 logo instead of the Nick/Sesame Workshop logo, and add a variant section for the many other variants, mainly because that Nick/Sesame Workshop logo isn't the main version and it'd be better to use the blank one, the main version.
If we do use a separate section for other versions, it should go under logo/branding. Wikisplat (talk) 14:43, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- I don’t think we can add more logos to the page because they would be non-free files. Wikipedia can only use very limited non-free files.
- Even though there were many logo variants, the Nick/Sesame Workshop logo is the one from the "What Is Noggin" promo that Noggin chose to represent itself, and is a pretty basic logo instead of a holiday one or something. I think it also helps new readers, since it shows who the founders of the channel were. I remember a brand guide for Noggin (maybe the Articulating Noggin pdf) saying that the logo shouldn’t be used without a topper, so I don’t know if using the base part of the logo is a good idea… Squittens (talk) 00:59, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Can't the founders go into the userboxes? If they wanna know who the founders are, they can read the infoboxes Wikisplat (talk) 20:49, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
should it say "was" yet?
editIt was announced only yesterday and it doesnt look like noggin is gone yet. Should it say it was or is? Jatanea (talk) 20:49, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Shall we keep the "is"?
editParamount still owns the trademark. 47.36.211.22 (talk) 22:34, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
- not only that, but the official noggin.com website is apparently "rebooting" 2607:FEA8:6565:5200:8ECC:6BA6:6E22:84C2 (talk) 00:20, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
Can we change the short description to “Former American children’s edutainment brand (1999–2024)”
editI know this page was protected, but can we please make it say “Former American children’s edutainment brand (1999–2024)” so that way we know Noggin’s former. 2600:1004:B0BF:15E1:5947:EC4C:612F:13F1 (talk) 17:45, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Well as far as I can tell the article doesn't actually discuss that Noggin has stopped operating. When there are some reliable sources supporting that, the short description can be updated for good. I suggest "Former American children’s edutainment brand".
