Just in case, now there's a proper (start) article on Troy House. East of Borschov 10:59, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Date closed for passengers
editThe article says "The Coleford, Monmouth, Usk and Pontypool Railway withdrew passenger services in 1955" but the infobox says "5 January 1959 closed for passengers". Which is correct? In any case, in 1950s, surely it was British Railways, not the CMUPR? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:46, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
Origin of the name
editPresumably the station is called Monmouth Troy because it is close to Troy House, just outside Monmouth. It would be good to give that as the explanation of the name, providing that we can cite a reliable reference. The Troy House article says that this station was originally called Monmouth Troy House Station, but it cites a reference with a broken link. We should not cite references without checking them.
