This page was vadalized by changing the origin of Mango sticky rice recently with many false information and reference. Please revert to the orignal version 101.109.239.218 (talk) 14:30, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
Not done - This request does not specify content changes supported by a reliable source. I would like to request adding Thai script and Lao script of the dessert’s name: (Thai: ข้าวเหนียวมะม่วง) (Lao: ເຂົ້າຫນຽວຫມາກມ່ວງ) Rdawg22 (talk) 00:21, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
Not done - although adding native languages for topics is variable across Wikipedia, it is usually done to help understand name-derivations rather than just providing background. Many countries can claim mango sticky rice as a dessert, and the name as it is well-describes it. For the English encyclopedia, we should ask, "does this edit help a user who speaks English better understand the topic?" The answer would be "no", in this case. Thanks for raising the issue. Puto maya
editWe should separate Puto maya from Mango sticky rice
"Puto maya is a type of Filipino dessert made from glutinous rice cooked with coconut milk and sugar, often served with grated coconut on top. Mango sticky rice, on the other hand, is a popular dessert from Thailand that consists of sticky rice cooked with coconut milk and served with fresh sliced mangoes on top."
Therefore, it's recommended to keep "puto maya" and "mango sticky rice" as separate entries to avoid confusion and respect the individuality of each dish. 2001:FB1:8B:5410:F41B:5472:A27E:5C6C (talk) 19:31, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
