This biography is another instalment in a series (certainly not a "project") which is growing very slowly and which could be entitled "(Not too famous) Jewish Austrian artists who escaped the Nazis and started their career elsewhere". So far, I have written articles on Leon Askin, Walter Jurmann (although I am not quite sure if he was Jewish), and Fritz Spiegl.
