Why is there no "crime" section?

edit

Every similar page (cities in Ohio) has one: Cleveland does, Cincinatti and Akron have their own pages, Toledo does, Dayton does... but I see no Wikipedia coverage of crime in Columbus. Unless crime simply doesn't exist there, this seems like a significant omission. 2601:14D:8300:C950:B445:8228:CC47:BE51 (talk) 01:05, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

While I will admit that it is strange, I (from my experiences) don't see much notable crime or over-the-top statistics. And while I'm not going to endorse or involve any stereotypes about Cleveland, I will admit that crime rates there are exponentially higher. Same can (somewhat) be said with Cincinnati. (Also there haven't been any major crime-related events in Columbus for a while now) 𝔐𝔢𝔪𝔢𝔊𝔬𝔡27 (talk) 13:39, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Adding Experience Columbus and adjacent companies

edit

Hi all, I'm a new user so please guide me in the right direction if I should be posting somewhere else!

Experience Columbus, Sports Columbus, and Music Columbus are all pretty prominent companies in the city and are involved in much of what the city has to offer. Music Columbus specifically has partnered with over 60 music venues across the city as well as put on events for local musicians and music professionals. Experience Columbus has a hand in every sect of the greater Columbus area! These might be worth adding TIMBITS42 (talk) 20:24, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@TIMBITS42: Hello. The general standard for including things like this is is reliable sources. Specifically, independent sources which explain why these companies have lasting encyclopedic significance to the entire city. Without such sources this would not belong, and it would be difficult to differentiate these kinds of details from promotion. To put it another way, Wikipedia isn't a platform for promotion, so we need sources first, before we add information about specific companies. Grayfell (talk) 20:50, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Update information to include the most recent data

edit

Hello, I am new to the Wikipedia world. When reading the information presented, I noticed that it appears all of the information was last updated to reflect the standings of the city as of 2020. It might be worth taking time to verify and/or update the year within the article to provide the most accurate and up to date information for readers. K74HM86 (talk) 21:15, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
