I deleted the category that was added because, as far I can tell, they were not a NABBP team, only a NAPBBP team. Please let me know if this might be an error.Neonblak talk - 04:10, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

This and this would indicate that there was at the very least a "Maryland of Baltimore" (or similar) team existing as part of the NABBP in 1869-70. The link in the standings boxes goes to "Baltimore Marylands", though that page also gives an establishment of 1873. -Dewelar (talk) 04:59, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
It is interesting how the site conflicts it's own information. I am not sure if this can used as a reliable source, but the some of the players listed for the 1869 team also played on the 1873 team, such as Bill Lennon and Wally Goldsmith. I will try and find other resources for this team.Neonblak talk - 05:47, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
I read some sections from a book entitled "Baseball in Baltimore" by James H. Bready, and it seems to suggest that they are two different organizations. The players from NABBP Baltimore Marylands left to form the Fort Wayne Kekiongas when the NAPBBP formed in 1871, but the team folded, and many of those players joined the Baltimore Canaries when they formed for the 1872 NAPBBP season. The new Baltimore Marylands of 1873 were formed that year, and took the name in honor of the previous Maryland team. I hope this helps.Neonblak talk - 06:11, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
