controversies

edit

The chapter on controversies heavily relies on writing of certain Ara K. Manoogian and postings on keghart.com and his personal website thetruthmustbetold.com. These are partisan sources according to WP:NPOV standards. Please discuss these issues in depth and build consensus on thesubject. Sprutt (talk) 22:37, 18 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

According Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources#Self-published_and_questionable_sources "Questionable sources are those with a poor reputation for checking the facts, or with no editorial oversight. Such sources include websites and publications expressing views that are widely acknowledged as extremist, or promotional in nature, or which rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions. Questionable sources are generally unsuitable for citing contentious claims about third parties, which includes claims against institutions, persons living or dead, as well as more ill-defined entities. The proper uses of a questionable source are very limited.". So, it is not reliable source and must be deleted. Divot (talk) 00:09, 19 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I am looking for a consensus on a number of edits I desire to make. This page is the Wikipedia page for Armenia Fund Inc, which is a legally and financially independent body in the United States of America. The logo is that of Armenia Fund Inc, the description states that the organization was established in 1994 in Los Angeles, CA, and the President/Chairman listed is Maria Mehranian who is the chairman of Armenia Fund Inc. However, there is so much misinformation in this article which ties Armenia Fund Inc. to an organization which operates solely in Armenia called "Hayastan All Armenian Fund." The section on controversies uses known biased sources, and should be omitted entirely, but whether or not the controversies listed on the page are true is irrelevant to my request, as my request is to remove it from Armenia Fund Inc.'s page, since those relate to Hayastan All Armenian Fund. There should be a separate page for the organization "Hayastan all Armenian fund". Armenia Fund and "Hayastan all Armenian fund" are 2 different organizations. The article literally begins with a lie: Armenia Fund (full name Hayastan All Armenian Fund, Armenian: Հայաստան համահայկական հիմնադրամ). That is not true, Armenia Fund Inc. is the full name of Armenia Fund, and Hayastan All Armenian Fund (Հայաստան համահայկական հիմնադրամ) is a separate fund based in Armenia. Hayastan All Armenian Fund and Armenia Fund Inc. are two separate organizations.

The edits I request to make, I have already made and they have been reversed. If there is any confusion as to why I have asked to make these specific requests, please do not hesitate to reach out. Again, all the edits I have made are for the purpose of reinforcing the truth, not in hiding it. Please, for the purpose of maintaining truth and not spreading misinformation and confusion among the community, please allow these edits to go through. I would really appreciate some response. Thank you very much. 47.46.76.106 (talk) 01:37, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
