Article concerns
edit- According to the article, the last chapter and sentence in the "Early life" section, Abbott did not graduate but received a license to practice in 1861. It would likely be agreed this is unique and puzzling.
- The "Legacy" section states, "In 1866, Abbott resigned from service to the Union Army and returned to Canada".
- The B-class criteria:
- 2):
The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies
, and - 4):
The article is reasonably well-written
,
- 2):
- The image, circa 1863, shows a black haired younger man, 26 years old according to the dates. There is an image of a far older woman, listed as Abbott's wife, Mary Ann Casey with a date of 1863. Looking at the picture this could be his mother or grandmother.
- It would seem that the Union Army stint needs coverage to satisfy the B-class criteria and the images could use some scrutiny. -- Otr500 (talk) 23:00, 5 January 2025 (UTC).
- Note: According to the article Abbott married on 9 August 1871, and his wife was 18 years old. Unless I am sadly mistaken she would be 10 years old in 1863. -- Otr500 (talk) 23:09, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
