"Hope you don't feel hurt, big boy!" -Parrot to Mickey in "Steamboat Willie"
The Parrot is a character that first appeared in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928. Originally one of the livestock aboard Pete’s steamboat, the Parrot finds amusement in cracking wise at Mickey Mouse’s expense.

Steamboat Willie[]
The parrot appears mocking Mickey, after falling down the stairs on a bar of soap, and begins to laugh, which provokes Mickey to throw the bucket of water on the bird. It squawks for help as Mickey walks away. He is later seen dancing during the Turkey in the Straw sequence. The Parrot is last seen flying into the window, beginning to mock and laugh at him again, provoking Mickey to throw a half-peeled potato at him, sending the parrot splashing into the river. Triumphant, Mickey begins to laugh and brings the picture to a close.
Due to the quality of the audio of the film, it sounds as if the parrot is squawking in gibberish. But thanks to research and listening really close, the parrot actually says, when mocking Mickey, "Hope ya don't feel hurt, big boy! Ha ha ha ha ha!" and then after Mickey harms the parrot in some way, the parrot yells, "Help! Help! Man overboard!"
The Barn Dance[]
The parrot appears briefly as Minnie's pet, looking unamused at her suitors Pete and Mickey. In the colored version of the short, is revealed his beak is yellow and his feathers are green.
The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse[]
The Parrot appears in the episode “An Ordinary Date”, as a singing telegram from Minnie to Mickey. Before the Parrot can deliver his message, however, he crosses paths with one of the Tuppence birds with whom the Parrot holds a grudge. The Parrot then engages in a fight with the Tuppence birds, ruining Minnie’s and Mickey's surprise. In this series, his feathers are black and grey again like in Steamboat Willie, but retains his yellow beak from the colored version of The Barn Dance.

The parrot appears as a regular enemy in the Steamboat Willie world. In some versions of the game, his colors change entirely from black and white to green feathers with orange peck and claws, at the same time as the level gains color
Disney Speedstorm[]
In Disney Speedstorm, the parrot (simply named Parrot) appears as the Epic Crew Member exclusive to Steamboat Pete. When equipped, Parrot boosts all of Pete's stats, improves his Unique skill, and gives a Shot skill to use at the start of the race. Parrot (as well as any other Crew Members introduced alongside Steamboat Mickey and Steamboat Pete) is currently only available through limited-time special events alongside the two Steamboat Willie characters.
