Kai Brightstar

Kai Brightstar is one of the main protagonists who appear in the Disney Jr. animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.

Background[]

Kai is an optimistic and enthusiastic youngling in training to become a Jedi Knight on the planet Tenoo. A natural leader who relishes adventure, he approaches experience with wonder and enthusiasm and believes in the potential for good in everyone.^[1]

Powers and abilities[]

• The Force: Kai has a strong connection with the force. As a youngling, his abilities are stronger when he and his friends combined their powers.
  • Telekinesis: Kai can telekinetically move or hold objects without physically touching them.
  • Force Sense: Kai can sense the presence of danger.

Weapons and equipment[]

• First Lightsaber: Kai owned a blue-bladed training lightsaber, which he used throughout his Jedi training before losing it during a mission.
• Second Lightsaber: After losing his lightsaber, Yoda gifted Kai with his old training lightsaber.

• Kai slightly resembles his first voice actor Jamaal Avery Jr.
• Jamaal Avery Jr. voiced Kai for most of season one. For the last three episodes, he was replaced by Jecobi Swain who at that point provided additional voices throughout the first season.
