On September 3, 2024, it was announced that a Disney Villains-themed show would replace the Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy show at the Sunset Showcase theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Two pieces of concept art were revealed during the announcement. The first one featuring the Magic Mirror, followed by other villains, such as Captain Hook and Maleficent breaking through the glass in live stage production. Other villains seen within this concept art included others, such as Hades, Cruella De Vil, Jafar, and others with the Magic Mirror around them, with the second one featuring a Cruella De Vil-themed sequence with Cruella on stage surrounded by images of her fashion designs. Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy later closed permanently on October 7, 2024, a month after the announcement.[1]
