Ashvin faced a roadblock with Indian censors for his film No Fathers in Kashmir which initially received an 'A' certificate. He wrote an open letter to Prasoon Joshi, the director of CBFC, as well as appealed to the FCAT. The film got released with a U/A certificate on 5 April 2019. (en)
