Ultra Greatswords are a type of weapon in Dark Souls II.

Being among the largest weapons available, this weapon class is sluggish but capable of dishing out copious amounts of damage with each swing. Due to their immense size and weight, it is one of the few classes that can take advantage of hyper armor, meaning that Poise can become a must for these weapons. They also deal very high poise damage, allowing for each hit to stagger almost any enemy. That same weight and bulk is also puts this weapon class at a disadvantage as it means large amounts of stat investment are a must, namely Endurance and Vitality. And its slow swings can, more often than not, leave the wielder vulnerable to counterattacks.

When wielded with two hands, unlike its predecessor, it cannot be parried, with exception of its running and rolling attacks.
