The Lost Sinner's Sword is an ultra greatsword in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- An ultra greatsword forged from the soul of the Lost Sinner. Its blade saps the life of its wielder.
- The true nature of this sword is unknown, even to the Lost Sinner herself. Those who choose this sword will share the burden of the Lost Sinner's misdeeds.
- Effect: attacks damage wielder.
Availability[]
The Lost Sinner's Sword is obtained by giving the Soul of the Lost Sinner and 5,000 souls to Weaponsmith Ornifex.
Characteristics[]
When attacking with the Lost Sinner's Sword, 30 points of damage is dealt to the player with each hit, which is similar to the effects of the Chaos Blade. However, the most interesting aspect of the weapon is that it negatively scales with the player's Sin value. The menu implies the Scaling goes down a 30th of the total AR for each point of Sin acquired, however, the way it actually works is simply by reducing the Scaling by 30th all the way to zero.

What sets this ultra greatsword apart from all the others, however, is that it has the potential to have the highest damage-to-weight ratio of almost any other weapon in its class. With maximum strength and dexterity, and zero sin, while using the Ring of Blades +2 and the miracle Sacred Oath, this weapon is made into a truly-formidable threat due to the total attack rating for its weight; this rivals the raw power of the Greatsword or the Fume Ultra Greatsword, while weighing no where near as much.
Surprisingly, the Lost Sinner's Sword has the highest damage Resistance for Fire damage type, and when infused with Fire, it will block 90% of all incoming fire damage, making it an exceedingly good weapon against players with Pyromancy builds in PVP.
Notes[]
- Hitting someone while they have invincibility frames will still damage the wielder.
- The Lost Sinner's Sword uses the normal greatsword parry animation, rather than the sluggish animation that a sword of its class usually has.
- For some reason, the Lost Sinner's Sword deals much more damage when used to riposte an enemy after a successful guard break, similarly to daggers.
