Reapers are a type of weapon in Dark Souls III.

Like halberds, reapers combine the sweeping coverage of a blade weapon with the long reach of a spear, and as such are also subject to the "sweet spot" mechanic that causes attacks that do not connect with the head of the weapon to inflict reduced damage. All reapers deal slash damage, and with the exception of Friede's Great Scythe will inflict Bleed build-up with each attack. Compared to halberds, reapers are characterized by the ability of their attacks to inflict damage through the side of a raised shield.

However, the drawback is that their attacks have no Hyper Armor frames short of their skills. This means that the wielder becomes significantly more vulnerable inside of the arc of the weapon due to lack of Poise, and as such should take care to avoid letting foes get too close.
