Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge

This week at Die Cuttin Diva's we are celebrating Music in our schools month.

When I was in grade school I was lucky to go to a school that had a pretty cool music program. We got to play all sorts of instruments that you just don't see anymore. I took piano lessons on and off throughout grade school and high school until I joined the hand bell choir and a vocal group in high school. Not to mention plays, musicals, and performances. Needless to say I loved all of the experiences I had because of music in my schools.

I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge for this card. The stamp is a dollar find from Michael's.

Join us at the Die Cuttin Diva's Blog for this week's Music challenge.

Die Cuttin' Diva's

We have a fun recipe challenge for you this week over at Die Cuttin' Diva's!
Feathers, Fabric and/or Flowers

I found the background fabric at Joann's and decided to find a die cut that went with it. The Florals Embellished Cricut Cartridge had this die cut that matches pretty well with the fabric. I used Fun Fur yarn because is reminded me of a feather boa and the flowers are rhinestones I found in the clearance bin at Michael's. I purposely did not put a sentiment on this card beacuse I haven't decided what to use it for.

Head on over to the DCD blog and show us your recipe card/project. Don't forget to tell us which die cut you used.

Thanks for stopping by.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge #44

Good Morning everyone! Welcome to our tags, tags, and more tags TWO WEEK challenge.
With Christmas just around the corner all of the Diva's agreed to switch from making cards to making tags. This week we are also sponsored by Whimsie Doodles. There are so many great digis to choose from on their site.
I used the Wild Card cartridge. I chose the liners function to create the tags.

I used glitter glue around the penguin to look like snow.

I found the grass die cut on the paper doll cartridge.

After using the glitter glue on the bow and candy I used Glossy Accents on the jar to make it look like glass.

All of the background paper and ribbon is from my stash.
I plan on making many more of these for Christmas.

Thanks for visiting! Please join us at DCD for this challenge. It will run for two weeks.

It's almost Turkey time! This week at Die Cuttin' Diva's we have a turkey challenge for you.
I found this cute turkey on the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge and put him on an action wobble. My husband walked by the table I was working at and said, "he should be shaking!" I had to laugh. It's good to be back after a 2 week break. Even though this card is pretty simple I look forward to getting back into craft mode.

Thanks for stopping by.
Now head on over to DCD and show us your turkeys!

Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge

If you are looking for the CELEBRATE THE OCCASION post click HERE

This week at Die Cuttin Diva's we have a sweet challenge for you!
In honor of National Dessert Day this week we want you to create a project with any type of dessert.

When I woke up this morning my husband told me that we had to be at a birthday party by 3pm. When I asked who's party and why I didn't know about it, he said, "Oops! I forgot to tell you they called last week." So off to my craft supplies to make a card and a notebook for the birthday girl I went.
The gift set.

I used my sweet treats Cricut Cartridge for the cake and plate.
the stamps are from Hero Arts. I also used my MS punch for the notebook.

The notebook is a dollar store find that I altered using the same paper from the card.

We hope you have been inspired for this challenge. We would love to see your projects over at DCD and hear some feedback on all of our blogs.
Thanks for visiting!

The Circus is in Town!!!

Come one, Come all, To the greatest show on Earth!
This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are having fun under the big top with our CIRCUS theme.

We were asked to think outside of the box so I decided to make an explosion box! :)

(By the way this is the first explosion box that I have ever made.)
These are the 150+ pieces that I cut using Paper Doll Dress Up, Everyday Day Paper Dolls, and Create A Critter cartridges so I could assemble all of the elements of the explosion box..
Around the outside of the box is the word CIRCUS.

Here are all of the layers to the explosion box.
This layer is made up if 6 clowns all cut at 2 inches.
This layer is the elephant and peanut group. All of these pieces were cut at 1 inch.
(except for the clown hats which were cut at 2 inches)
I just love the Lions, Tigers and Seals (Oh My!) layer. All of these were cut at 1 inch as well.
I forgot to mention that all of the animals have googlie eyes.
In the center of the layers you can see the Ringmaster, leading the show, and a little girl, enjoying the circus. (cut at 2 inches)

I had a blast making this explosion box. The template I used can be easily found by doing a search for explosion boxes. I found the template to be slightly off when putting all of the layers together. Maybe it was something my printer did to the template.

Thanks for staying though this long post. I hope you enjoyed my project. Don't forget to go to the DCD blog and show us your circus inspired projects. Also, please visit my fellow design team members, they all made such cre8tive circus projects this week.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge!

This week at Die Cuttin Diva's we were asked to make a card with a "teacher" theme.
Here is my card:
I used my Peachy Keen stamps for the apples. Since I didn't have any teacher stamps I wrote the sentiment by hand.
This is inside the card. I think that I will send this to one of my frineds that started back to school last week. Thanks for stopping by my blog I hope to see you at DCD this week with your own Teacher card.
