File:AA Portuguesa (Santos).png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

[edit]Copyright status: File:Luiz Mattoso (Feitiço) - 1936.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Luiz Mattoso (Feitiço) - 1936.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Deleting unidentified cats
[edit]@User:Broichmore Hi, Hi You seem to be deleting Unidentified... cats, without leaving in their place specific location / language / identification cats...
File:A Short History of the World, p0183.jpg You seem to think that the description is enough without a cat.
- I have put a description there. Feel free to put it in appropriate categories. I handled this according File:CHINESE BRONZES.jpg. Maybe a Cat. "Chow dynasty objects" od "bells from china" should be created. Then the question arises, into which these cats should be categorized.
File:M M KuzhuveliKuzhivelil Mathew Indian stamp.png No language cat linked to stamp.
- There is no category for Indian, or whatever language they speak there. It is sufficiently categorized as "Stamp from India" w/out language cat.
File:澳洲聖瑪麗亞大教堂40.jpg Do you know this is Brisbane? What building is it in Brisbane? File:澳洲聖瑪麗亞大教堂40.jpg This building location given as Brisbane, no cathedral looks like it there. It wants a specific name and building.
- This is possibly not Brisbane. I erred here, with a certain likelihood.
File:Railway Line at Balyarta(GN09562).jpg Location South Australia. SA is bigger than half of Britain.
- It is a good sized state, indeed. Balyarta is a placename there. Create Cat. Balyarta for one object?
All of this is bullshit Probably none of these pics are this spurious cathedral Cathedral of Santa Maria or whatever its called, where is it. All of these buildings cant be it. What's its cat?
- There are actually some pics from St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney. The rest is easily identified. Best and easiest would be to rename this lot of "Chinese" files. I am happy to do this, but would not have a clue how to rename.
You shouldn't be deleting unidentified without finishing the job. What are you doing? Until specific cats are assigned, then they should remain as unidentified. Broichmore (talk) 13:17, 5 August 2021 (UTC)

- Hello, Oalexander.
- I withdraw the request, because all the maps have been updated.

In addition, I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request, as linked above: not including reason, year, month, or day; not creating the subpage; and not transcluding. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar provided by the AjaxQuickDelete gadget per subpolicy procedures COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you MUST follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of subpolicy procedure COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people. Warning: such edits are not tolerated and have led to account blocks, as "We cannot work here with people who are not willing to follow our procedures, in particular for deletion requests." — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 15:02, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
