Hallo and thank you for the SVG Coats of Arms you're uploading. I have started to categorise them according to the heraldic figures. Could you please verify the figures in St Antönien Ascharina wappen.svg and St Antönien wappen.svg, I am not sure whether they are letters or Saint Anthony's crosses? In the latter case, they should be recategorised from Category:Letters in heraldry into Category:Crosses in heraldry. Could you also, please categorise your future uploads according to the category tree beginning at Category:Heraldic figures? Thank you! --AtonX 10:11, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hallo and thank you for your message. I'll try to do my best with categorising, hope I'll find the right slot for everything ;-) --Bernina 16:55, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi ! I wanted to steal your lovely sheep because it's the only one available with a .svg form. And the surprise is an [unpleasant answer of a malicious machine when I click on the name right under the drawing. Maybe though the upload was ok, the dowloading controls some things : I just wonder if it's not a name of tracing (hasardous translation from the french Inkscape word calque !). Haven't in your drawing such a sheet named #lamm2-1 and the machine doesn't like the # or lamm2-1 and it doesn't like the - though accepted by Inkscape ? I thought first that it was the name of the image, but it works with Image:Saas i P wappen.svg ! If you have a tracing sheeet with such a name, could you maybe rename it and re-upload your drawing ? I'm really sorry to annoy you with such little problems (quite selfish from me too !). Entschuldingen Sie, Bitte ! If you have to talk with me, you can do it on fr:Discussion Utilisateur:Henry Salomé, I'm more there than on Commons ! - Hallo Henry, first of all you don't need to apologize for anything ;-) I'm sorry to hear that there are difficulties with this SVG file. But as I am working with other tools (not with Inkscape), I am unable to figure out what exactly causes the problem. Actually, the file does contain the definition of a path called lamm2-1, and this path will be referenced by an SVG use element later so the value of the xlink:href attrib is #lamm2-1. See section 5.6 of the SVG specs. Shouldn't Inkshape be able to cope with this? As a makeshift, you could try to load the file into a text editor and extract just the path definitions. - Hi again ! Thanks for your welcome ! The problem is not with Inkscape, I've tried and succeeded to download your Image:Saas i P wappen.svg and it works quite well (i.e. I can see the colour of outline of the beard is #202020 and your green is #00B200). It happens quite before, in WP, when clicking on the text right under the image within WP (program called : http://upload.wikimedia.org/) ! In fact, the problem doesn't seem to be the <use class... line, it is the next one where the first char like ^ appears. Well don't worry about it, now I think it's not your path name ! Only one question, does it do the same thing when you click to have a high-definition image ? Thanks anyway, ℍenry, encyclophile (Jaser !) 15:58, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- If I click on the link below the image in Commons, the browser will display the url called http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/Conters_i_P_wappen.svg apparently without any problems. --Bernina 16:24, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Still failing ! I'll try tomorrow, maybe coming from my Firefox ! Anyway, I've copied your sheep from .png (the first image shown) and re-drawn it (getting expert with Bézier curves !). Here is the result : Image:Blason L'Étang-la-Ville.svg. I've added thanks for your drawing, now you're a little involved in our Category:Coats of arms of cities in Yvelines (around Versailles) in wich you can pick up all what you want, of course. I shall add it as héraldic figur. Thank you for your welcome, see you soon. Amicalement, ℍenry, encyclophile (Jaser !) 17:29, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

SVG coats of arms - Graubünden
[edit]Thanks, but I was unaware that they were already drawn, but not yet uploaded. Moreover, Delta-9 seemed to have stopped for some time. I'll leave it to you to complete the remaining arms. Regards, --BillC 15:56, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Kategorisierung
Wer etwas sucht, muss also an mindestens drei Stellen nachschauen.
Gruss --Bernina 07:41, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Wappen Ferrera
[edit]Hallo!
The coat of arms of Luven is looking strange as a thumbnail - A and Omega are shifted. Is it possible to correct that? --83.173.213.40 07:58, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
Ibexes in heraldry has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Bernina. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Bernina~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
