Public domain
This Maltese work is in the public domain because its copyright expired pursuant to the UK 1911 Copyright Act or to Malta's 1970 Copyright Act (Cap.196 of the Laws of Malta) which provided for copyright term of the life of the author plus 50 years (25 years since 1970), or 25 years since publication for photographs, cinematographic works, sound recordings or broadcasts (details). This applies to works already in the public domain on or before January 1, 2000 when a new copyright act (Cap.415 of the Laws of Malta) came into force.

The work meets one of the following criteria:

a) a work of known authorship and the author died before 1 January 1949 or between 1 January 1970 and 1 January 1973
b) an anonymous work and it was published before 1 January 1949 or between 1 January 1970 and 1 January 1973
c) a photographic or cinematographic work published before 1 January 1949 or between 1 January 1970 and 1 January 1973
Note that other works enter the public domain 70 years after the author's death or 70 years after publication if the work was published anonymously. If this is the case please use {{PD-old-70}}.
