Context

[edit]

The Musée des Augustins is the fine arts museum of Toulouse in Haute-Garonne (France). Opened in 1795, he is part of the former convent of the Augustins of Toulouse. It holds important collections of painting and sculptures.

Presentation

[edit]

In 2012, Christelle Molinié, of the musée des Augustins, started uploading part of the collections in low-resolution to illustrate Wikipedia articles about the artworks. Thanks to the support of Wikimédia France, particularly Léna and PierreSelim for on-site training and Jean-Fred for the tools to process metadata and mass-upload, the complete exposed collection of the artworks of the museum are now on Wikimedia Commons.

End 2013, the musée Henri Martin de Cahors follows the example of the Augustins.
