Thank you!
editJust wanted to leave a thank you for your great maps, especially the bodies of water according to the IHO. Really great work with attention to detail and a great addition to Commons. MaligneRange (talk) 08:39, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

Maps of the seas
editHi Aplaice, just like the message above, I also wanted to thank you for your uploads based on the IHO maritime division. Besides, will there be other map creations in the future, which would also be based on the 1953 document or on the Wikipedia article List of seas#Largest seas by area. I'm thinking, among others, of the seas of Antarctica, the Bering Sea or the North Atlantic Ocean. Ellicrum {bablute [...]} 12:37, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm intending to do all the "IHO seas", at some point, though (other than limited time), one major issue is that the Natural Earth Data (which I use as the main source) has a greater discrepancy from the IHO definitions for many of the remaining seas than for the seas that I've already uploaded, so I'm hesitant to use the Natural Earth Data shapefiles as-is.
