Welcome to Bulbapedia, Pressthebutton!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Talk page

Hey. You're prohibited to use your talk page to post personal information that would usually go on one's userpage. That is called Circumventing the userspace policy. When the time comes and you're able to edit your userspace, then you may put that information on your page. But it should never be put on your talk page. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 14:53, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I got mixed up. Pressthebutton 15:48, 8 April 2012 (UTC) EDIT Pressthebutton 19:35, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
You're not allowed to use your talk page as a sandbox... Now that you're autoconfirmed, you can make a separate page for sandbox in the userspace. You can do anything that you want to do in that page. Thanks Pokégeek 20:04, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for explaining. Pressthebutton 20:06, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --- Kogoro - Talk to me - 20:31, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User: namespace too much. In the past, no one was allowed to edit their userpages because some users were over-editing their own userpages. Your personal editing privileges can be taken away, so please do not edit your page any more for now. Instead, how about helping contribute to some of Bulbapedia's many articles? Thank you. --- Kogoro - Talk to me - 20:47, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Final userspace warning

Do not edit the User: namespace any more. If you edit your page any more without making some edits to the mainspace, then the privilege for you to edit the userspace will be removed. This has been your final warning. --- Kogoro - Talk to me - 20:52, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Ok. Also, keep in mind that my midnight may not be the same as yours. Pressthebutton 01:50, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Our midnight is 00:00 (UTC), we go by UTC time around here, so that's the official midnight. Please go and contribute to the mainspace for now. Masatoshitalk 02:14, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
All of our time-dependant policies are based under UTC time. We also have a convenient JavaScript clock up at the top of every page, just so editors can be sure what time it is via UTC. Additionally, since you made 11 userspace edits, I highly suggest that you avoid editing the userspace for a few days as well as make a minimum of 15 constructive mainspace edits in order to offset the userspace edits as if they were made over the span of 4 days, within the 3-per-day limit, as explained in the userspace policy. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 13:00, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
OK! You know, I think you should hire me for making things like the Ducklett box on my Sandbox page. Pressthebutton 13:43, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Cliff's Mienfoo

It does not need that template. That only goes on gym leaders or other major game characters page.--ForceFire 14:00, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

I am aware of that: I just had an urge to make it. Pressthebutton 00:37, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Pokégeek 14:01, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Section For Messages Like Ones Above

This section is for everyone who posted the comments above... besides me. Pressthebutton 00:34, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Make that me included. Pressthebutton 00:38, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

I accidentally labeled Spiky-eared Pichu's Iron Tail as unable to be legitimately learned in the Pokémon games. Should have paid more attention to the TM/HM section. Pressthebutton 02:19, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Please

Please contribute more to the mainspace. You've only made 10 main space edits compared to 45 Talk/User/User talk (combined) edits. So please contribute more to the mainspace.--ForceFire 03:10, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Wow. That's one heck of a difference. I don't think I can make 36 more main space edits so fast... Pressthebutton 03:32, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Like I said, please edit more to the mainspace. And don't post pointless spam on the talkpages. If you want to talk about something non-constructive go to the forums.--ForceFire 13:48, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Talk page comments

Please refrain from posting on comments older than 6 months, unless it was a vital question that was never answered. But answers like this are merely spam as they contribute nothing to the actual page. Please avoid spamming in the future. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 18:18, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Also, please do not just add comments into the middle of a discussion. When replying, always add the comment into the bottom of the discussion. Ataro 17:29, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Genders

Genders aren't confirm until someone in the anime says so. Regardless if they have a Gender Differences--ForceFire 02:32, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Actually, Gen IV Pokémon are confirmed, as long as you can actively tell them apart from each other. Bibarel have distinct differences, so these Bibarel are female. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:44, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the back-up, Jo. Pressthebutton 02:47, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Talk page comments (part 2)

Hi, your edit in here wasn't considered acceptable for a proper discussion in the talk page, as it merely referred to your opinions as to why Aron is too heavy for its size. This explains how a talk page should be used, and this shows what kind of comments are better left for the forums, such as your comment above. Thank you. Masatoshitalk 21:23, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Opinions? *facepalm* Pressthebutton (talk) 12:47, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
