Help:Media Viewer

Media Viewer is a multimedia browser that aims to improve the viewing experience on wiki-based projects. It lets the user view images in larger size, including additional information about their contents, uploaders and related metadata. It also offers a number of tools to share, download or embed media files.

Media Viewer aims to:

• improve the viewing experience for readers
• make it easier to preview and browse images
• provide a quick summary, with easy access to details
• offer features such as enlarge, download, share and embed

Disabling Media Viewer

Those who have a Bulbapedia account can easily enable or disable this tool in the preferences: Preferences → Appearance → Files = check or uncheck 'Enable Media Viewer'.

Reporting feedback and issues

By default Media Viewer includes every image on a page. Bulbapedia frequently uses images to convey visual information, such as types, rarity, or the icon for a given page's Project. These icons don't provide useful information on their own, and should be excluded from Media Viewer.

To report images that shouldn't be viewable within Bulbapedia's Media Viewer or to give other feedback, please use this page's talk page or via this anonymous survey.
