So for the little girl, I wanted to do something a little different since all of my card had a distressed/vintage type feel to it. I did a little experimenting and found something that I thought worked really well.
I colored in the little girl image with my Copic Ciaos (exact colors are listed below) on my normal white cardstock ( the new X-Press IT Paper is my FAVE) and then cut her out with an Xacto knife.
THEN (here's the different part), I ran some creamy brown colored ink right over the image. That creamy brown ink gave the image a somewhat distressed feel and helped to tone down the bright white of the cardstock so that the image would fit in with the whole feeling of the card. If you look really closely, you can see some brown ink on some of the edges (on the tips of her scarf, near her shoes, etc).
So my whole point is, don't be afraid to experiment with things and find techniques that work for you! You never know what you will discover!
I used the following Copic Ciao colors:
YG06
YG03
R27
R29
E00
E02
E21
I hope you enjoyed my project for today!
