Nomination Competition is a variant of Immunity Competition but at the same time a twist to the usual Nominations process.
Winning this type of challenge will secure the winning housemates' safety from facing eviction while those who lose the challenge will be automatically nominated for eviction.
The challenge first appeared in Pinoy Big Brother and later appeared in Big Brother Brazil, Big Brother UK, Big Brother Nigeria, Big Brother Sverige, Big Brother Canada, and Big Brother US.
Format[]
Usually introduced as a twist on the usual nomination process, the housemates will compete in a series of immunity challenges to save themselves from being one of the nominees. At the end of the competition, the losing housemates will automatically become part of the week's nominees and will face eviction.
The competition format may differ for every appearance of the twist. In some instances, the housemates would compete individually while in other cases, Big Brother would make the housemates compete in teams. The nomination competition may last from one day to an entire week. There are two common formats for this competition, the Elimination format and the Score format.
Elimination Format[]
For this format, the players will compete in a series of rounds, often in three to four challenges. In each round of the challenge, there will be a winner or winners. Whoever wins in each round will be saved from the nominations and will be eliminated from the challenge, thus being ineligible to compete in future rounds. The housemates who remained and failed to win any rounds will become the week's official set of nominees for eviction.
Score Format[]
Sometimes, the point system is used for the competition. The players will compete in a series of challenges and would gain a point corresponding to their place in the challenge; the first place gains the largest points while the last place gains the least points. After they all finished the competition, The housemates who gathered the least total points at the end of the competition will become part of the official set of nominees for next week's eviction.

- This competition is more similar to Survivor's Immunity Challenge in terms of use and purpose.
- The Super Challenges Week of Pinoy Big Brother: All In, Food Fest Challenge of Pinoy Big Brother: 737, the Double Trouble Week of Pinoy Big Brother 7, and the Team Immunity Competition of Big Brother Canada 9 were all played in Teams. The housemates were divided into two teams and the losing team became the nominees of the week.
- All Out Week of Pinoy Big Brother: All In, Big Yanig Week of Pinoy Big Brother: 737, Double Trouble Week of Pinoy Big Brother 7, and the Dancem8tes ni Kuya and Mr. and Ms. PBB TeenM8 Challenge of Pinoy Big Brother Otso all held multiple evictions within the week.
- All Out Week, Big Yanig Week and Mr. and Ms. PBB TeenM8 Challenge had a triple eviction while Double Trouble and Dancem8tes ni Kuya had a double eviction.
