Matthew James "Matt" Klotz is the runner-up of Big Brother 25 (US).

Originally secure in first Head of Household Reilly Smedley's inner alliance, her eviction in Week 2 would put Matt's, Jag Bains', and Blue Kim's games in jeopardy. Able to serve as an outer ally to power player Cirie Fields, Matt would lie low and stay safe for the immediate aftermath. In Week 4, Matt was voted by the viewers to participate in the BB Power of Invincibility Competition, which he would win and save Jag from his unanimous eviction later that week. Keeping steady gamewise, Matt would grow closer with Jag, in addition to winning the Power of Veto in Day 51's Double Eviction.

After several weeks near the center of the flow of information, in Week 10, after him and Jag would secure an alliance known as The Minutemen, they pulled in then-HOH Bowie Jane Ball to form The Mafia alliance. The Mafia would dominate the jury phase of the game, winning every HOH and almost every POV, and took out their adversaries with little issue. Narrowly surviving eviction at the final 4, Matt would subsequently win Part 1 of the Final HOH Competition. Jag, however, would win the other two parts, and used his sole vote to evict Bowie Jane.

Facing the jury vote with Jag, Matt stumbled on the jury's questions and failed to explain his independence as a player in comparison to Jag's well-articulated ownership of his game, leading to Matt finishing as the runner-up by a 5-2 vote. Matt would finish in the top 3 for America's Favorite Houseguest alongside Cirie and Cameron Hardin, but lost to Cameron.

How does it feel to be on the 25th season of Big Brother?
I am super excited and super thrilled to be on Big Brother 25. And I'm ready to get in the house right now.

Why did you decide you wanted to play Big Brother?
To be on Big Brother, I really wanted to take on the challenge and the adventure it has. Just watching it before, growing up a bit and knowing I could put myself in these situations and these challenges. I think I could do very well in all aspects of Big Brother, and I want to put myself to the test.

What's your experience watching Big Brother?
I will say I'm a pretty decent fan of Big Brother. I've watched a couple of seasons. I haven't had time to watch a lot because I have a very rigorous training program to do. So I don't have much free time. But when I have free time, I'm watching Big Brother. I think the challenges that I will do really well, obviously, would be the physical ones. Just kind of the very active ones. I think we all know the only weaknesses will be the one where you've gotta listen a lot. That's my weakness, for sure.

What are your thoughts on Julie Chen Moonves as a host?
I think what makes her very unique is she has her own style, her own way of doing things. But she's constantly staying with the program. She's constantly improving and changing eyes. Big Brother changes, and she does a really good job with that.

What is your strategy going into the game?
Honestly, my strategy has been going kind of back and forth. There's a lot of ways I can go about this. There's definitely a lot of plays you can do. I think right now my main focus is going to be to try to win the first HoH so that people come to me to make the alliances, so I don't have to worry about that. But also if I try and go for that, don't burn too many bridges right away, and kind of float a little bit, but not too much. When I'm not doing anything bad, I don't want to get in anyone's way to become a threat. So I don't want to win every challenge I see possible. I'm gonna have to hold myself back a little bit on all those challenges I really want to win, because then I'll make myself a threat right away. I'm excited to be on Big Brother 25. I'm ready to take on the challenge to prove to everyone that someone with a disability could win the game.

How much will you hide about yourself during your time in the house?
When I get into the house, I'm definitely not going to let anyone know my little secret which is lip reading. I can read anyone's lips from far away or up close, and I'm not going to let them know that because that's gonna be a huge advantage for me.

Why will you win Big Brother 25?
I think I'll win Big Brother this season because of all the challenges I've had growing up. Whether it's swimming,g disabilities, social game, all that put together it's gonna be really good on Big Brother, and it's gonna show[1]
