"Trial on the Cliff" is a Shrine Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview[]
Upon entering the North Lomei Labyrinth in the northeast of the Tabantha Tundra, Link will hear the voice of Qaza Tokki. The Monk instructs Link to make his way through the maze, as he will receive the reward of a blessing.[2] Hearing this, the Shrine Quest will begin. From the center of the Labyrinth, Qaza Tokki Shrine can be seen in a central chamber, surrounded by portcullises. Link must navigate the maze to find an entrance into this chamber.
While journeying through the Labyrinth, Link will encounter pools of Malice blocking his path. He will also be attacked by monsters, such as Blue Lizalfos, Black Lizalfos, Silver Lizalfos, Treasure Octoroks, and Electric Chuchus. There are also many Treasure Chests from which Link can gather supplies, such as Weapons or Rupees.
In the northern corner of the North Lomei Labyrinth, hidden tunnels can be found that lead Link to a ladder. At the end of this ladder is an elevated tunnel going towards the center of the labyrinth, which leads to a small platform above the Ancient Shrine. By dropping down into the chamber, Link will be able to activate Qaza Tokki Shrine, which completes the Shrine Quest.
