"The Road to Respect" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Overview[]

In Goron City, Link can meet Fugo, who explains he the house they are in front of belongs to the Goron artisan Rohan.[2] Fugo explains that his master is responsible for keeping the ancient art of blacksmithing alive.[3] As part of his strict training, Rohan gave Fugo the task of defeating every Igneo Talus near Goron City.[4] However, he has been unable to reach the Igneo Talus at Darunia Lake.[5] He openly wishes that someone else could go in his place,[6] which begins the Side Quest.

Following his suggestion, Link can find the Igneo Talus buried on the western shore of Darunia Lake. It will rise out of the ground when Link approaches and begin to attack. Upon defeating it, Link must return to Goron City to tell Fugo.[7]

Fugo is surprised to hear that Link defeated the Igneo Talus.[8] Deciding to strike a deal, Fugo offers to pay him 100 Rupees in exchange for the achievement.[9] If Link accepts this, Fugo will give him a Silver Rupee.[10] He thanks Link and expresses his excitement to tell Rohan.[11] After this, the Side Quest will be complete.
