Merge[]

Would people agree to bring information on the Silver Scale and Golden Scale under here? All three articles are rather short, and at least the Silver Scale is described as "This is a "scale" of our kind." by the Zora who hosts the diving game. IfIHaveTo (talk) 08:37, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

I strongly agree with a merge. It's for the best. ShellShockeR (Talk) 10:39, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Err...I'm not sure merging the Golden Scale with the Zora scale would be a good idea, although it's also more than likely a scale of the Zoras, but it's never really said in the game. Perhaps merging them all under a page titled "Scales" would be a better idea? (Or "Scale," whatever). Dany36 (talk) 15:36, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
The only problem I have with that is that "Scale" is not specific, meaning that practically/technically "Mermaid's Scale" and "Valoo's scales" should be covered here as well, which I think should not for being entirely different things. On the other hand, you are absolutely correct about the lack of proof that the Golden Scale is a Zora Scale. It is sort of implied though, through the Silver Scale... Would the theories template be of use here? IfIHaveTo (talk) 19:01, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
I think, in the mean time, merging the (Golden Scale/Silver Scale) pages together makes sense. I wouldn't use the theory template, but would include a note on the Golden Scale's entry. On the other hand I can see all of the other scales being in one page as none of them are the weighing device type of scale. But I'll leave that for others to decide. Axiomist (talk) 05:20, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
What I didn't phrase properly in my last reply (though let it be known I do not object to covering all scales on one page), is that this article would 2/3 cover Zora Scale related content (OOT, OOA, TP (Zora Armor), PH), 1/6 on Mermaid's scale and 1/6 on Valoo's scale. That feels a bit off-balance to me, and both other scales are/can just as well be featured on their owner's pages (or in the Mermaid's case, on the LA trading sequence page). The only problem is that the Golden Scale is only hinted at being a Zora Scale, yet a small enough article to justify merging- with what? IfIHaveTo (talk) 05:46, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, maybe Axiomist is right. We could merge the Silver and Golden Scale under this article, but make a note under the Golden Scale section. It could work. Dany36 (talk) 17:31, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I'll see what I can do. IfIHaveTo (talk) 19:31, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Just so you know, Silver Scale and Golden Scale still exist. Are they supposed to be merged or remain their own articles? Also, I thought the water around the Golden Scale was green, not yellow/gold as seen in the picture? Where did that picture come from? I know in my N64 version and my Collector's Edition version of OoT, the water around the Golden Scale is green in the item screen, and I'm fairly certain it's green when you receive it from the Fishing Hole guy as well. Maybe it's different in Master Quest (which I don't have)? --Ionizer (t c) 11:01, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
They are supposed to be merged, but I wanted to wait to hear what people think of the article as is because of the Golden Scale controversy. And you are correct the aura is green - I believe this pic is supposed to be official art, but I don't what the source is. It's not in the manual to my knowledge, so perhaps an official guide? IfIHaveTo (talk) 11:24, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
I think the page now looks perfect. I have no objections with redirecting the other scales to this page. Great job! Dany36 (talk) 13:06, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
