Where is the Book?! (本はどこに!? Hon wa Dokoni!?, lit. "Where is the Book!?") is the twelfth chapter of the Zatch Bell!/Konjiki no Gash!! manga series by Makoto Raiku, published on September 18, 2001 in Japan and August 2, 2005 in the U.S. in the second volume.
Summary[]
Suzy and Gash chase after Yuta who's going to burn Gash's spellbook because of Kiyomaro's words. Gash rides on a hospital cart to catch up but runs into a wall angering the staff. Kiymaro uses Suzy's orange to get away from the nurse. He remarks that he was too harsh with Yuta as Suzy thinks about how she got lost.
Yuta gets to the elevator only to find Gash waiting for him inside. He makes an excuse that the book wasn't in his hiding place and that they should split up to find it. Gash refuses saying that Yuta may get hurt from trying too hard. Yuta is taken aback by Gash's words as Gash mentions they should search together as friends.
Suzy ends up helping a girl get her balloon back as Kiyomaro finds Gash searching the hallways with Yuta. Yuta vents on how people who were put in later came out before him. Kiyomaro backs Gash up by saying that Yuta's leg will heal and also apologizes. Gash also makes a joke that if Yuta eats three meals a day, then he can shoot lightning out of his mouth, and it cheers Yuta up.
Yuta tosses them the book that he hid on an air vent on the roof. Kiyomaro is shocked that Yuta climbed up the ladder. Yuta is about to climb down when he's blown off the roof. Kiyomaro thinks fast and uses Zakeru on the floor beneath Yuta to make him fall into a linen closet. Both Kiyomaro and Yuta are relieved. When Yuta returns to his room, he begins stuffing his face with food to the nurse's surprise. Kiyomaro wonders if he forgot anything as Suzy is escorted out of the hospital.
