Theory and Praxis

Theory and Praxis (Japanese: セオリとミクマリ, Seori to Mikumari) is a Blade Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It can be received by first viewing the Heart-to-Heart "Rough Diamond", and then approaching the balcony cafe on the southwest side of the Uraya Commercial District starting in chapter 8. Theory's Affinity Chart at level 2, as well as Praxis, Theory, Pyra, Nia, Tora, Mòrag, and Zeke must be in the party to receive this quest. Completing this quest unlocks level 3 of Theory's Affinity Chart and level 5 of Praxis's "Geyser Spring" Blade Special.

4. "Defeat the Drivers at Fonsa Myma Port, Uraya." (3)
   • Avarr Driver (Lv.46), Torst Driver (Lv.45), and Firan Driver (Lv.45)
5. "In Fonsa Myma Port, Uraya, speak to Volette."
6. "In Commercial District, Uraya, speak to Brabe."
7. "Gather ingredients from various regions and make Whelzaman Cookies." (50)
   • Brabe will bake the cookies in batches of 10 when the ingredients are brought to her.
   • The following ingredients are required for each batch of 10 cookies:
     • Bright Fig x5, which can be found in the Kingdom of Uraya, including Collection Points at Cobalt Cliffs, Bluestep Ditch, Farlaine Central Pools, and Farlaine Wells.
     • Sparklesugar x2, which can be purchased at the Honeycomb Sweets run by Bonbon in the Argentum Trade Guild's Goldmouth.
     • Whisper Tomato x2, which  can be found in the Leftherian Archipelago, in particular the farm north of Corinne's House in Fonsett Village, or from the Collection Point on Isle of Terminomni.
     • Limdo Flamii Egg x1, which can be dropped by Limdo Flamiis in the Kingdom of Uraya, particularly in the Cleansing Spring, Lake Varna, Eight-Rock Skip and Fonsa Myma Waters.
8. "Distribute Whelzaman Cookies to the children in Fonsa Myma, Uraya."

   • Menda at the small dock by the Commercial District
   • Mulba at the Mymoma Playhouse ticket counter
   • Reez by the Royal Guard Barracks
   • Cmin at the end of a dock at Fonsa Myma Port
   • Renle on a balcony above Torika Alley
   • Terry in Torika Alley (approaching her triggers Family vs. Fiends, which must be completed)
   • Jeline by the Uraya Merc Barracks (triggers Jeline and Shaun, which must be completed)
   • Jammie on Sevind Palace Plaza (triggers Boys and Bullies, which must be completed)
9. "Approach Vaio and Veero in Uraya Commercial District."
