Electric Upa Tears are rare materials in Xenoblade Chronicles. They are dropped by Upas on the Fallen Arm and can be traded for on the Fallen Arm. According to their description, they are electrically-charged tears only shed by Upas when they are laying eggs. Five of them are needed for the quest The Wilted Flower.
